Yngwie Chooses Now, Not Never 2026-08-17 by John Marinakis CONTRIBUTOR | 0 Comments | Yngwie Malmsteen has announced his new studio album, Hell or High Water, which will arrive on November 13 through Music Theories Recordings and Artone Label Group.
The nine-track record follows 2021’s Parabellum and runs for approximately 46 minutes, having been deliberately structured to fit onto a single vinyl LP. Malmsteen provides lead vocals on four songs, while the remaining compositions are instrumental.
According to the Swedish guitarist, the project emerged from approximately 80 to 90 pieces of music written during an extended period in his studio. He ultimately selected nine tracks that reflect his familiar combination of heavy metal, classical composition and virtuosic guitar playing.
Hell or High Water opens with Now or Never, which has been released as the album’s first single alongside an official music video. Other titles include Antikythera, Beyond Zeta Reticuli and the closing track Father a personal tribute to Malmsteen’s late father.
The album as a whole is dedicated to his memory.
