Nachtmystium not breaking up 2014-08-01 by zaruyache | 30 Comments | Contrary to reports last year from Nachtmystium mastermind Blake Judd that he had chosen
to dissolve the project, Judd recently revealed in an interview with Metal Mayhem
Underground that he has decided not, in fact, to completely disband the band.
Read the full statement below:
"Well, I have actually decided not to end the band. The time I announced that
Nachtmystium was no more came after a series of really difficult issues and situations,
and I decided it was time for a major change in my personal life. Nachtmystium has
dominated just about every aspect of my life and has been extremely consuming of my time.
With the touring band lifestyle being what it is, it caused me to get very involved with
drugs. I am an addict and have struggled with substance abuse issues for years, but in
the last four years or so, it got way out of control and began to ruin my life. I decided
that after all the shit hit the fan, I needed to get out of the spotlight for a while, get
myself some help, and start a new and more normal life.
At the time, I really felt like Nachtmystium needed to end for that to happen. Now that I
have had a good nine months to clean myself up as far as my drug problem goes, and have
regrouped mentally and made a new life for myself, I've been able to really think about
what I'm doing and where I'm going with music.
Due to the immense amount of feedback I have received from fans on our Facebook page
telling me how sad they were that I was bringing the band to an end, I decided that ending
the band was not what needed to happen in order to live a new life. I just reprioritized
how the band is going to be present in my life, and I have also decided that I will no
longer be touring at all. But just hanging up the name, all the momentum and success I've
had with the band doesn't seem logical to me now that I have had time to do everything
I’ve mentioned.
I don't really care what people say or think about my decision to continue on with the
band after announcing that it was coming to an end. I'm sure some people will talk shit,
but that is nothing new for me or this band. I'm looking at The World We Left Behind as
the end of a chapter in Nachtmystium's history. What I do next will be something new,
theme-wise and musically. I'm not sure what direction I will take, but it’s definitely
going to be something new and different".

not really surprised
| | | Now he can rip off more people! Yay!
| | | could have been a product of the drug life he was living, if hes clean now hes probably turned things around
| | | Ehh that too. Sorry I'm always gonna mention the whole 'ripping' off people by selling non-existent merch.
Believe he told a fan his house flooded and he couldn't send them the thing they ordered LOL. C'mon man.
| | | Sweet
| | | So he...he sent the fans their money back, right?
Oh, wait, he does it a lot: http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36038
| | | Negative I'm still in the red cuz of him sleeping in a barn is iight I guess tho
| | | I just spammed their shitty FB page with that link, I wonder how long until the cokehead deletes it all.
| | | Asshole acts like he's cleaned himself up and is ready to get serious.....while also ignoring the fact that he hasn't refunded anyone the thousands of dollars he stole. Garbage band lead by a garbage human being.
| | | This band is constantly posting like multiple times per day about things they are trying to get their fans to buy on their facebook page.
| | | Look at what this scumbag Blake just posted on YouTube about the guy who he owed $200:
"Jeremy Littleton is a sad little nobody whos been butt hurt for years that i didnt want to be his buddy after creeping me out with his weirdo fanboy antics when Id met him at our gigs in the past. He likes to take hear-say from the internet and spread it around anywhere he can to try to get a rise out of me. Bottom line is this, for someone who ""hates me" as much as this sad excuse for a man does, he sure spends a lot of time.thinking about me and wasting his time talking about me. Carry on, Jeremy. Not a thing you've said here is true at all. Sure, I used heroin for a few years and it fucked my life up as it does anyone who uses it. Jef Whitehead from leviathan did it right along with me for a couple of those years, as did numerous other people involved in Nachtmystium in the past whom I respect enough not to name drop here...dont hear ya talking abouy any.of them. How about you get a life and do something productive instead.of making an ass of yourself online? You're a sorry sack of shit. Say what you will about me...despite my shortcomings in life, I've actually accomplished something and made things that matter in the world of music. You just sit on your computer talking shit in between jerking off, sleeping and going to a job you undoubtedly hate because you never had the balls to follow a dream and make something of yourself. So carry on, little man littleton. You will never matter."
...there's so much wrong about that, that it's much easier to dismiss it entirely without delving into it point by point. Guy is a sad sack of shit. Doesn't he realize that people want to kick the shit out of him, and that once he's fulfilled his contract, his band is going to get dropped and picked up by no label in their right mind? Then it'll be back to flipping burgers for him.
| | | Good to hear. Personally, music > musicians life. I don't care what musicians do as long as they give me great music.
Nomos, do you believe everything you read on the net? You do realize it's super easy to start up a hate train? However, I have confirmation that he's a junkie thief from talking with Stavros Giannopoulos after a show about why Judd wasn't part of Twilight anymore. Take that for what it's worth but it sounds more credible than X being ripped off for merch blah blah blah. Not saying it's true but once you fuel the fire, anybody who hates his music and is a stupid little turd squirt living in their parents basement will have a heyday with it.
| | | He didn't use the word butt hurt ironically wow
| | | Nachtmystium sucks ass so this is terrible news
| | | Lol
| | | Also their album leaked too... so yeah ;)
| | | I'm torn, is it good that people are stealing their music instead of paying, or worse because people actually want to listen?
| | | The people that were going to shell out the cash for physical copies will shell out whether they hear the leak or not.
| | | Let's gather up the 10 people in the world who care.
| | | And do what? Hit them with bats?
| | | Talk about The World We Left Behind.
| | | Don't see why you'd want to do that since it doesn't seem very interesting. New track they released was boring. I was tempted to download the leak but I think I'll just wait for a proper stream because I don't care enough to actually download those files onto my computer.
| | | Uh oh, someone doesn't get it.
| | | Can you find ten people who care I don't even know
| | | BURN THEM WITH FIRE GUEST! THE HORDES OF ENGLEBURT SHALL RISE AGAIN!!
| | | Can you find ten people who care I don't even know
+1
| | | Sweet news this band rules.
| | | Such a Hawks post
| | | Century Media offer statement about Nachtmystium pre-orders
http://www.metalinsider.net/updates/century-media-offer-statement-about-nachtmystium-pre-orders
| | | good guy Century Media. Really disappointed in the Judd camp. I assumed after "beating" his addiction(s?) he'd try extra hard to be faithful to his fans, but I guess I was wrong again.
