Gotta love Kerrang calling MCR the most important rock band of the past decade lol, and I love MCR.
| |
""I was in bed," Dan King recalls. "I broke the news to my girlfriend as if a family member had passed
away.""
The farther I get into this, the harder it is to take it serious...
| |
kerrang fucking blows
| |
Was Kerrang always this obsessed with them? They're making it out as if they're the Beatles.
| |
lol
| |
I mean, the thing is, they were a really impactful band and in more ways than one. I'm glad that he acknowledges that everything following The Black Parade is subpar but, at the same time, The Black Parade can't even touch Three Cheers.
| |
"'I started hyperventilating and almost fell down the stairs,' remembers Dajah Brown."
Omg this shit is comic gold.
| |
It's so fucking weird, this writer romanticizes his every movement, obviously it's written for the kids that think this interview is the deepest/most intense moment of existence.
| |
^ that part though lol
| |
why does everything involving gerard and his band have to be so fucking pretentious? WE GET, YOU FUCKING BROKE UP.
| |
Why is this whole article written in the most pretentious manner possible? It's like the writer is cumming just writing it
| |
March 22, 2013. The day My Chemical Romance pressed stop. The day the most important rock band of the past decade called it a day. The day the rock rainbow lost a colour. Maybe two, Maybe three. One of the most rubbish of days.
| |
Gerard might be the worst name ever.
| |
Kerrang just makes me cringe more and more at the stuff they write.
| |
Omglol so many laughable quotes
| |
I like MCR, but fucking really Kerrang?
| |
I can't tell if this is a joke honestly
| |
Terrible article for a terrible band.
Can't wait til people stop bringing them up.
| |
They make Gerard sound like an insecure 15 year old girl. Why are they pretending that music isn't just a bunch of ugly nerds screwing around with instruments?
| |
kerrang < metal hammer < terrorizer
| |
just lol
| |
I actually kinda like mcr, but I really hope this is meant to be satirical
| |
They should have split after The Black Parade. That was a great record and after that they turned to shit.
| |
not really tho since conventional weapons was great
| |
I never fully listened but it was safe to assume it was terrible
| |
ah, the Yellowcard approach!
| |
Ha - yeah, that might be how you know it!
| |
;)
| |
Danger Days still rules.
| |
The article is hilarious by the way.
| |
Hilarious.
| |
Getting back to what the actual article is talking about, the more I think about it, they seemed REALLY tired when I saw them live back in 2011 (they played with Blink 182, who blew them out of the water that night)
| |
^ I saw that same tour, and MCR absolutely blew Blink 182 out of the water. No comparison.
You must have seen them on a bad night.
| |
I mean, if I was approaching my mid thirties and was in a band that was still producing music that attracted predominately 15 year old girls, I'd rethink my life too. Chances are they probably craved to be taken more seriously, wanted to gather a larger audience, make more mature music and it just wasn't able to happen.
| |
This is horrible lol. Loved MCR back in the three cheers days, but this is just silly.
| |
"It's so fucking weird, this writer romanticizes his every movement"
Ikr lol he tries to make everything Gerard says to be some crazy profound bullshit but it just comes off really tryhard/gay
| |
his eyes pierce through mine like a hot knife
| |
Whilst this article is absolute tripe, I respect most of what Gerard says here
| |
this reminds me, I need to take a shit
| |
that whole thing was awfully pretentious for an article about a defunct eyeliner-wearing pop punk band who catered to teenagers (and realistically, probably teenage girls at that).
| |
I come to sputnik's main page, see this, wanted to choke someone just reading the title for this article, but now I understand why. Seems like someone should be fired from kerrang for sexually abusing MCR music.
| |
so unnecessarily dramatic
| |
so is this like the third or forth time he's done this?
| |
pulitzer prize material
| |
^ I love your username.
| |
I thought they got back together?
| |
I don't think they could have done anything interesting beyond The Black Parade anyway. I think it was time. Danger Days kinda sucked anyway
| |
this so dramatic it's glorious lol
| |
They're gone but the black parade can never die ;_;
| |
