Doors Singer Obscenity Review

2007-04-11 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 6 Comments
In an apparent case of good publicity all round, TV producer Dave Diamond (who?) has called upon Florida Governor Charlie Crist to overturn the late Jim Morrison's 1969 conviction for indecent exposure.

The iconic singer's case was still under appeal at the time of his death in 1971. Diamond argues that the Doors singer deserves to be remembered as a musical icon rather than a criminal, though it's unclear whether anybody actually thinks of him as such, or if Diamond's just a massive douchebag.

More on the story as it develops.

why is the guy a douchebag if he wants jim morrisons name cleared? i dont understand this, hes trying to improve the image of a dead rockstar who has, obviously, never had the chance to change his tarnished career.

you can be remembered as a musician and a criminal, look at the skatalites or MF Grimm (sorry for obscure examples)

I really don't think Morrison would have given two shits.
