Ornstein's announce new terror

2014-05-21 by IdiotequeCigar | 32 Comments
Ornstein's Puppy posted via Facebook today that: "Dear all, a new Ornstein's Puppy
masterwork is in development. The name - Anathema to the Universe. The game - usual chaos + abject terror. Be ready."

Ornstein's Puppy gained notoriety for its 8-bit Peripheral EP that parodied the
mindless excess of Periphery through nonsensical arrangements and bizarre use of ambiance,
but it is also notable for the frantic, bombastic The Pylos Contingent and the
relatively accessible Puppy.

The whole of Ornstein's discography is available for free at Bandcamp through this link:

Ornstein has a new album? What happened to MC Smough? This must have been recorded in the Drangleic era . . .

^agreed

Also, holy shit my project is getting wanton exposure again. For your info, I did a little bit of vocal work in the role of Smough on Puppy, but this EP will be more in line with Artorias

It's pretty simple with a mage build...but agreed; it can be pretty damn grim
The Capra Demon is probably the hardest though

ude, get it; there are some amazing fights there
Also, I feel obliged to reiterate the actual point of the this article; Ornstein's Puppy is well worth checking if you want to hear something completely unserious, and the new album will slay face

And still, not a *single comment* here is in reference to the band/album in the title.

Damn, I missed one that's mostly on topic.

"Straying off topic" can't even be used to describe this.

Seriously though, why are we mentioning Smough? He's dead and this is Super Ornstein coming down on us.

Dark Souls 2 Ornstein is a joke

I never had any trouble with Four Kings or Capra. I did however, struggle with the likes of Sif and Centipede Demon. That's why the Dark Souls series is so great, everyone has a different story to tell. I beat Dark Souls 2 the other day, and I'm considering going back through the whole series again.

That's a really good point, actually...and the Centipede Demon was mean

Thanks for listening, man! I'm glad you enjoyed it (and highly recommend checking the new Storm Daughter album, Archaic, if you liked the other stuff; it's the most fully-realised thing I've done to date). I would love to release physical copies, but it's totally a pipe dream atm :P

Also, the new Ornstein album is very nearly finished and is just as crazy as can be expected. Brace yourselves.
