New Butch Walker Release Date 2006-03-20 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 4 Comments | In his latest myspace bio ([url=http://www.myspace.com/butchwalker]link[/url]) Butch Walker has set July 18 as the release date for his first solo album in two years.
The album, entitled 'Butch Walker & The Let's-Go-Out-Tonites,' will be released through his own label on Epic Records, 'Powerballad Recordings.'
Concluding the ill-punctuated biography, Walker writes: "my new record is called “the rise and fall of butch walker and the let’s-go-out-tonites”. yes it’s a play on the old bowie record. ye’s i misspelled “tonite”. yes you are a dumbass any of this bothers you. yes it’s only rock-n-roll ...and i like it. it comes out july 18th on POWERBALLAD/EPIC records. see you on tour this year. a lot."
Walker is also booked to produce the debut album by heavy metal supergroup Supernova, which boasts ex-Metallica bassist Jason Newsted, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke as members. The group will hold auditions for a new singer via the CBS reality tv show Rock Star; Walker was asked to participate as a judge in the contest but declined. The show is due to kick off this summer.
