Fuck this genre is so generic, "obviously no shit 8bit", but really, every fucking Metalcore band has this "OH SHIT MAN I'M TAKING A STAND" or "ARGGGHH HEAR ME THROUGH MY PROTEST MICROPHONE AND SKI MASK" brand. Most Metalcore bands with this sound have been around since 2007 for the most part haven't changed their sound at all, only a handful have actually changed their sound to something other than what was on their debut. So there are tons of these bands that have been around for almost 10 years from the inception of scene kids to whatever 5panel hat kids referred to as now, probably 5 albums in their discography, and there are kids who buy each of these albums even though they sound the exact fucking same. How do these bands have fans. How can these bands be content with what they put out? /8BIT RANT.

It is very possible for a metal band to have religious lyrics while still not making your music absolutely unbearable to listen to. A few examples of doing this that immediately spring to mind are:

With Blood Comes Cleansing, Fit For A King, Norma Jean, and Impending Doom.

All great bands with good music that doesn't sound like the band is aggressively trying to convert you via their music.

For Today has been on the scene for a while now that has put out 3 really good albums, but this and a couple other singles that are leading to the new album are really boring and a tad generic. Their pass 3 albums have been nothing but the same recycled metacore they've always done. If they dont try to make their music more fresh than they have bigger issues on their hands than these stupid ass people breaking their backs to support the gay community.

I also dont understand why a band needs progression if they are on top of their genre anyway. For Today can't get better, so they basically deliver breaker2.0 and 3.0 with their newer outputs, which really isn't a problem at all. August Burns Red should have done this with Messengers, Linkin Park with Hybrid Theory, etc. you knew for yourself what failures Leveler & the last two LP records were. thank god ABR woke up and included some chugging again, that's why Rescue & Restore does not suck in the first place.
