Song's pretty good, better than the first 2 for sure but still not as good as In Waves even

Better than the other 2 singles, but still pretty mediocre for me. It's a shame they didn't continue the more complex and heavy (by Trivium standards) approach they undertook on Shogun. Album's likely gonna be pretty unremarkable, like In Waves.

Better than the first two songs for sure. Sorta has an Ascendency vibe to it. I think that the first half of the album is going to be a lot softer than the second half. We've heard 3 out of the first 4 songs already and are already down a single, so there's maybe one or two more in there.
I'm pulling for this album because Matt recognizes that In Waves was a "simple" album, and he said so himself, and that they weren't going in the same direction. Corey and Paolo both said that this is their heaviest album, and those two usually tell it how it is, Matt embellishes a lot of what he says.
Plus I don't know why Matt would photo shoot so much with his Emperor shirt on if he was gonna keep going more mainstream.

finally a song that sounds like Trivium. the first 2 songs were so bad.
|
| |
This is awful.
|
| |
Far better than the other 2, still far from the level of shogun or ascendency
|
| |
I can't listen to it but I really liked Strife and thought the other one was decent. If this is as much better than those two as everybody is saying, i'll be happy.
I liked about half of In Waves. A lot of it was really simple, but a lot of it was great and the songwriting had matured a great deal since their ascendency days. There were too many songs on the album though.

Pretty good. I think better than the first two. Production still seems a little off to me though. The vocals during the verses are too prominent and they're not clear enough in the chorus imo. Which is how I've felt about the other two songs as well.
|
| |
Lol, just listen to Heafy. What a faggoty voice he has.
|
| |
Album cover reminds me of something Terminator related
|
| |
Awkward in parts and rather boring and uninspired. The production doesn't sound great, either.

You care entirely too much about Trivium
|
| |
Well heafy can riff when he wants to but his vox are lame
|
| |
Weak lyrics, and the vocal melodies sound copped from an average Disturbed track - "I'm Alive" or
something. The solo and the idea of the chorus were nice, but it's too repetitive to merit anymore
than a couple of listens

Trivium strike me as a band with potential that will unfortunately never be released.
|
| |
Wow, the vocals are fucking terrible. I mean Heafy has never been the best but that was just god damn awful.
|
| |
The vocals are weak ...
I don't know what happened to Heafy , Maybe ,it's David who cause this ...
The song sounds pretty good to me , more than the other 2 songs
Hope we will get songs which sounds more like Shogun . This album was and still awsome!
|
| |
yep, vocals stand out as being particularly awful
song is shit too
|
| |
That's one forgettable chorus.
|
| |
Better than the first song I heard from this new album but still weak as hell.
|
| |
band is lame
|
| |
Really not interesting at all, and this is coming from someone who LOVED In Waves.
|
| |
i thought it was alright. will have to see how the whole album is. i have a feeling the non released tracks will be better
