I love his music, but I think 'icon' is a lil strong, at least for now

Strong or no the guy's certainly established a name for himself. Legend and genius are pushing it.

I'd say "prog rock icon" is rather accurate, considering all aspects of his career. Just the fact that Yes, King Crimson, Jethro Tull etc etc prefer him for remixes makes him a name to know.

"Just the fact that Yes, King Crimson, Jethro Tull etc etc prefer him for remixes makes him a name to know"

Just the fact that Yes, King Crimson, Jethro Tull etc etc have already done most of what he's doing makes him not quite an icon yet. Definately up there with the best modern prog, but not exactly a timeless classic.

Haven't heard anything from the last two Steve Wilson solo albums, but I liked this song quite a bit, mostly because of its simplicity.

If the rest of the album goes like that, I should buy it sometime.

Video is fantastic.

At first I thought SW's guitar chops had really expanded.

Then I remembered that Guthrie Govan played on the album.

Like the last video, this is very deep and meaningful. Musically I don't think it's as effective as the title track (The raven that refused to sing), but the video gives it an extra kick.
