Stream new Jane's Addiction 2013-08-08 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 17 Comments | Jane's Addiction have released a new song in advance of the upcoming Uproar Festival, on which they will embark tomorrow along with Alice In Chains, Coheed & Cambria and many others.
According to the band's frontman, Perry Farrell, the story behind 'Another Soulmate' is the following:
"Etty [Lau Farrell, Perry's wife] had a girlfriend and this girlfriend, as all people do, really wanted a mate, and I think she shortchanged herself an awful lot in life. She's a good-looking woman, she had a career, but when it came to love and romance, she sold herself short all the time and she would reach out to guys that we would scratch our head like, 'What is she doing with this guy?' She said, 'I feel like he's my soul mate.' Any time she'd meet a guy she'd say, 'I feel like he's my soul mate.' So I wrote this song".

Decent.
| | | probably sucks
| | | disappointing
| | | meh...
Lacks passion and intensity
| | | the song's alright. but i'm stoked to see them with alice in chains and circa survive next month.
| | | "probably sucks"
Confirmed, does suck.
| | | groundbreaking stuff right here
| | | Nothing's going to top Ritual de lo Habitual so idgaf.
| | | Song grooves pretty nicely actually
| | | Seriously, nothing will top Ritual. Three Days all day, erry day
| | | Decent but needs more intensity and emotion. Still the solo part is sweet
| | | i liked it
| | | good, better than the last 2 efforts for sure.... but still Perry should have stopped JA after the 90's, they sound like everything else now
| | | I actually like The Great Escape Artist, but this is kinda average. Hoping for a follow-up like they mentioned at one point.
| | | ^yeah the new albums have some alright songs i guess, but still nothing that makes me wanna put on the entire albums from start to finish in my car
| | | Strays was a bit lacking, but The Great Escape Artist is shorter and songs like Twisted Tales, Underground, End To The Lies or I'll Hit You Back are really catchy. Still, their early material is a lot more expansive compared to the new stuff.
| | | If they release another album soon, they'll break their trend of releasing one album per decade!
