Bringing the junz. Nothing really "progressive" about it, except maybe the more atmospheric melodic guitar over the chugs. I feel like deathcore is probably one of, if not the most, difficult subgenre to make progressive. Some groups "can" pull it off, like Slice the Cake or Bleed From Within (to a certain extent), but overall the focus lies in brutality, not in progressive thinking. Iconoclast has some nice atmosphere but it clashes with the br00talz.
In terms of video, reminds me too much of Stray From the Path's "Damien", and conceptually it's a very unoriginal concept.

Yeah, I feel like metalcore and prog music don't really go well together. It can be done, but usually it ends up either being metalcore with some prog elements (Born of Osiris) or prog metal with slight metalcore elements (Between the Buried and Me)
Anyways, I guess the song wasn't bad. Decent for chug chug deathcore. I'm just really confused by the "progressive" tag
