Video is...interesting. Can't help but feel like it's a better cut of the song than the longer album version though. Is always a bit too long for my liking.

Also yes Leb, but this video crosses every border of pretentious. And stupid, and disgusting. I never thought a video clip could be so much of a tease breaker. This made me reconsider how much i like this album tbh.

Didn't do anything for me. Call me crazy, but I always feel a little unimpressed when a scarcely clad woman is squirming around to a band's music. The video reminded me of that one recent Ke$ha video, only slightly darker.
Meh, sorta bummed by this. But oh well, they still make pretty cool music- more or less.

I don't see anything wrong with trying to expand or invert a given formula. I think the main issue here is the blatant appeal to basal sexuality in the video. Hell, if the chick was fully clothed and didn't have the whole 'strokin mah body' thing going on the vid would be decent.

I beg to differ. I don't know how much of a connoisseur you are in these matters , i for one don't know much about it. But i believe these things are not 100% the label's choice. I mean, i don't think bands are forced to make videos like these. This involves some controversy, which might bring in some money in the end, but still a long shot from what made Tesseract a good money maker in the first place. Correct me though.

I did study the industry for a while but I must confess, my knowledge isn't vast.

Big labels used to allow a lot more freedom for creativity and input from the bands. Now that Music has become a tight business, they don't leave anything to chance. It's usually only the bigger acts, who have more leeway, that have major influence in how their video turns out.

With a fairly big budget video like this, I can't imagine TesseracT would of had much say in the matter. They certainly weren't involved in the production. The band doesn't even appear in the video! The video was probably shown to TesseracT in advance, while on tour. At that point, even if they disliked the video, there's not much they could have done about it.
