GnR:Beef between Slash and Axl

2006-03-08 by Damrod EMERITUS | 12 Comments
Last friday Axl Rose initiated a countercharge against Slash and Duff McKagan, former members of Guns n Roses. The members of Velvet Revolver sued Rose in 2005 because of fraud and violation of copyrights. According to them, Axl Rose transfered all rights for the Guns n Roses-catalogue of songs to his own company Black Frog Music to get all royalties for them.

A statement on the official GnR Website, posted by Axls lawyer claims it is a misunderstanding. It is nothing more than a mere typo in the corrosponding document, created by the ASCAP. Rose rather settled this argument outside of court, but he could no longer take the lies and half truth spreaded by "press-, photo- and mediaopportunist Slash".

Isn't it adorable? As good as any sopa opera =)

Right, a typo. Rose really must be getting desperate for money now.

What GNR is now is what most any musician would call a solo career, like Ozzy, or David Lee Roth, but no.... Axl has to depend on the GNR name to carry his god-forsaken album. Axl was a good frontman, back when he had excellent musicians right next to him. Slash and Duff were really why people like GNR, at least in my opinion. Velvet Revolver is what kids of this musically deprived new-millenium have to listen to, and i think Axl is jealous out of his mind, i mean Contraband was the best selling rock album of '04... thatd be my words of wisdom

why would anyone be jealous of Contraband? It was just a slightly above average album. It was the top-seller in rock in 2004 because look at the competition. Even if Contraband was a horrible album, it still woulda been the top seller because Slash and Duff have their names on it.
