I'll listen but this will probably suck
| |
it's actually not that bad. once you get used to the vocals that is.
| |
each song is kind of hit or miss for me
| |
well i'll probably listen later tonight if i'm not too busy jamming other things
| |
The last song is EASILY the best on here. Its so fucking good I wish the rest of the cd was like it.
| |
rip
| |
Listen to 1:15 of Never Enders for a blatant SFTP ripoff
| |
i dont know why the vocalist went for a drew york kind of sound. his guttural vocals were so much better.
the last song on this album is a prime example of what i mean.
cleans sounds a lot better though.
| |
cleans are really good and I can already tell I'm gonna overrate this. something about this band makes see them differently than other breakdown-core bands
| |
I don't mind the style but for him to steal Drew's signature BLEGH is just shameful
| |
cleans are awesome as usual but i really wish he wouldnt have changed his style of screaming
| |
I saw a local band play at a show called Majesty, and the vocalist was the most blatant SFTP rip off i've ever heard. Like the band was one of the worst i've ever seen and this kids goal was to impersonate Drew it was pathetic. On a side note, i'll probably never listen to this.
| |
It's aight, nothing special.
| |
rip [2]
| |
It's definitely a grower
| |
I was convinced they brought Drew in for one bleh and thats it.
| |
wow that first song was cool until they ruined it with that shitty ass breakdown at the end
| |
Not a bad album. They have always been a nicely cohesive band and his cleans are still amazing. His screams are incredibly hit or miss, but at least there are moments in every song that I can appreciate it.
| |
Album is okay so far, his cleans are great and I really wish he would just use them all the time. His screams are total shit on this for the most part, his growls are definitely better than the higher screams though.
| |
Growls are awesome, harsh are ehh, cleans are great. I'm only on the second song though but I know the vocals won't continually jump.
| |
I never really thought his growls were good so I honestly like that he uses them so sparingly on this. Demon Teeth is still their best song though.
| |
I wish they would either drop the harsh vocals altogether or have someone else do them. They are just all over the place and most of the time they are not so great.
| |
I guess I'm the only one who didn't really mind the harsh vocals.. I think they make them sound less generic and give them a bit more of a unique sound, even if they are a little weak at times.
| |
The harsh vox aren't that bad once you get use to them. And honestly I don't really think the cleans are even that good. People are overrating them
| |
album fucking rules
I love this band
| |
Smoke and Mirrors reminds me of Demon Teeth
Which is a very good thing.
| |
I'm digging it so far. Smoke and mirrors is pretty cool.
| |
will check this out, but this will be disappointing compared to their last, it was fun as fuck
| |
^This one's a little less fun, and a little more mature.
| |
oh they can mature all they want, but the music quality doesn't have to suffer from it
| |
Last two songs have been unbearable mainly because of the damn vocals although the instrumentation is purely average too. I'll skip this.
| |
Definite change in style but I dig it.
| |
I hate the new vocals but I respect Garret for the change. He wants to stop deceiving the fans and distorting the screams like many other artists in the the industry do.
| |
will check this out, but this will be disappointing compared to their last, it was fun as fuck [2]
cleans have always been up there with the strongest in the genre and judging by the first two songs this will be no exception.
| |
liking so far, i like his new harsh's more
| |
new vocals rule
| |
It's alright.
| |
agreed lucas
more exciting than new Northlane really
| |
lol no way
| |
yeh really
| |
except
this is terrible
| |
except
not
| |
better than Northlane yeah
| |
Better than Northlane? You're.... you're kidding right?
| |
Yeah, cleans are awesome as always. Garrett rips off Jonny Craig a bit with his vocal style, but Garrett's not a douche so I'm cool with it. Still, nothing tops their first album, IMO.
| |
Better than Northlane cus northlane blow chunks
| |
Some decent songs on there.
| |
Will check it out, low expectations though
| |
Hugely disappointing compared to their last.
| |
Oh so people like this band?
Anyway, i'm not a fan from their past releases. Should i dig into this?
| |
"Oh so people like this band?

It's probably not worth your time, maybe listen to a song or two on youtube
| |
Never really liked their first albums, but I really like this new album. I like the vocal change in screams. Saw them with AILD, TDWP last month and they were really good. I think the bassist did a lot of the heavy screams instead of the frontman. I'm guessing he just can't do those low heavy ones anymore and had to change it up. Overall, after one listen through, I think he succeeded.
| |
Good album, better than the last one for me. Still, We All Have Demons will always be their crown jewel. The songwriting is just so much more diverse and interesting on that album. My Devil in Your Eyes and this one have the same chuggy structure to every song.
| |
I don't understand why everyone thinks he's changing his style of scratch vocals. The only difference in this album is that Garrett is doing the scratch vocals in addition to his cleans. In the last 2 albums Justin was doing the scratch vocals. It's all a part of changing things up and experimenting.
| |
Garrett shouldn't have changed his screams [2914893284932].. This was one of my favourite bands after their last album, seeing them live Garrett is a great dude and shares the mic but couldn't keep the good screams up
