voting isn't restricted to just australian artists, people can vote for whatever they want

nevertheless, jjj has gone to shit the past few years and people still eat it up so the final list will suck anyway

Surely Macklemore will take the crown this year?

Really shit that no tallest man was on the list, shattered. Anyway, here is what I voted (had to add Wind and Walls!)

Chet Faker - I'm Into You
Foals - My Number
Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten
Tallest Man On Earth - Wind and Walls
Japandroids - House That Heaven Built
Cloud Nothings - Stay Useless
Grizzly Bear - Sleeping Ute
Macklemore/RL - Wings
Something For Kate - Miracle Cure
Fiona Apple - Every Single Night

australia sucks at music [2]

The thing about Australia is there's barely a middle ground between tiny, local artists and the mainstream ones. There's pretty much just garage bands, the radio hit artists and then maybe a handful of guys like The Smith Street Band and Luca Brasi in the middle.

Art Of Sleeping - Empty Hands
Chance Waters - Maybe Tomorrow {ft. Lillian Blue}
Chance Waters - Young & Dumb {ft. Bertie Blackman}
Flume - Holdin On
Hunting Grounds - Flaws
Japandroids - The House That Heaven Built
Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools (Drank)
Presets, The - Youth In Trouble
Smith Street Band, The - Sunshine & Technology
Something For Kate - Miracle Cure

That was my vote. Hopefully some good stuff like Tame Impala and Flume get a few in, no doubt shit like Mumford and Sons, 360 and San Cisco will have a bunch too though. It really is bullshit the monopoly triple j have over the independent and alternative music scene in Australia. It's almost impossible to be successful without triple j playing you.
