Really? Fucking 8? Rolling Stone is a joke anyway.
|
| |
LOL 1 hahaha
|
| |
People read Rolling Stone for music info?
|
| |
what fear said
|
| |
lol @ people saying rolling stone isn't relevant
|
| |
Uno??
????
??
???????
|
| |
wow lol
|
| |
did people expect anything other than a shitty list?
at least fiona is in the top ten
|
| |
no one is relevent anyone. especially in America.
|
| |
sad but true yeah
edit: referring to klap's post
|
| |
Even some days, I truly wonder what I just said.
|
| |
well then.
|
| |
Rolling Stone lists are always so predictable and boring. But I seriously did not expect to see Uno so high. Wow.
|
| |
The comments on it are more disheartening than the list.
|
| |
wrecking ball rules, not a bad choice. but the rest of the list is as laughable as expected
|
| |
2 and 6 hell yeah
|
| |
yeah Fiona and Neil young are so laughable agreed
|
| |
some decent albums, not as horrid as i expected, glad neil is on the list, kendrick lamar, japandroids, frank ocean, jack white, i mean it's not all shitty, these are actually decent
|
| |
"some decent albums, not as horrid as i expected, glad neil is on the list, kendrick lamar, japandroids, frank ocean, jack white, i mean it's not all shitty, these are actually decent"
^^^This. #'s 7 and 8 maybe don't belong, but the rest I'm certain I'll be seeing on a lot of people's year-end lists, mainstream or otherwise. And I'm really happy (and surprised) Japandroids made it so high.
|
| |
holy shit this list is hilarious
|
| |
rag sucks, what else is new
|
| |
Couldn't make a worse list if I tried. God awful
|
| |
Mainstream stuff....whatever happened to the rest of my original comment?
|
| |
BEEMO
|
| |
yeaaah fiona apple is blowing up my modern pop radio station as we speak. mainstream conformist
|
| |
Good music publications: Hears album, reviews it.
Rolling Stone: Hears about band, reviews album.
|
| |
Eight.
Eight.
|
| |
sput indie got rocked on 9.
|
| |
No Macklemore, Yellowcard, Motion City Soundtrack, or Animal Collective
Rick Ross, Taylor Swift, Muse, and Green Day instead
|
| |
no RIITIIR. no There's No Leaving Now.
|
| |
Fucking hell Green Day
|
| |
a bunch of people were trying to tell me that kendrick lamars album is not mainstream. i should probably show them this
|
| |
they do this every year
take some mainstream bands to appeal to their fanbase
add in some acclaimed hiphop to appeal to their fanbase
add in some acclaimed indie to have some attempt of credibility to wannabe hipsters
|
| |
"Green Day - ¡UNO!"
Fucking lol
|
| |
I gotta respect that they threw Rich Forever on their list
|
| |
Well respect is the wrong word but I still endorse it
|
| |
I've listened to more albums in this top 10 than I have in Robin's top 25 (two vs. one...and the one from Robin's is also
on here). To stop myself from becoming Rolling Stone, or 85% of the Sputnik userbase (having opinions on albums before I
hear them), I'm forced to call this the better list until further notice.
|
| |
so green day get number eight and DEFTONES and THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM dont get a mention? joke!
|
| |
Look at Rolling Stone pretending to like Frank Ocean and Kendrick to try and get some actual black subscribers
|
| |
@Unstable, from what i saw, they didn't even review Deftones' new album. it's insane
|
| |
>has uno! and the 2nd law on list.
>No Koi No Yokan or Converge.
Rolling Stones you fools!
|
| |
Those albums suck though
|
| |
This is so wrong. Also, Dylan's "Tempest" was much better than "Wrecking Ball". Not saying it should be ranked higher, but Springsteen's album should be ranked below it.
|
| |
2 and 6 is yay. 1 and 8 is LOLOLOL!!!!!
|
| |
also forgot dylan
|
| |
Trebor the new Converge album did not suck don't you make me fanboy rage
|
| |
10 is pretty good. the rest are average at best.
|
| |
Meeting at Rolling Stone office before this article was published: "Hey guys, we're still relevant? Right? This is an accurate ranking all the hip new bands the kids dig... right?"
|
| |
I was surprised to see that Killer Mike made the list.
|
| |
fuck yeh bruce.
wrecking ball is rad
|
| |
lol Green Day
|
| |
"WHERE'S LINKIN PARK'S LIVING THINGS??? AT LEAST I'M SATISFIED WITH GREEN DAY'S UNO, BUT THEY DESERVE TO BE LIKE ON 5, ATLEAST A LITTLE MORE PLACES UP."
I lol'd
|
| |
"WHERE'S LINKIN PARK'S LIVING THINGS??? AT LEAST I'M SATISFIED WITH GREEN DAY'S UNO, BUT THEY DESERVE TO BE LIKE ON 5, ATLEAST A LITTLE MORE PLACES UP."
Lol'd [2]
|
| |
what the hell Japandroids!? wow, they're way more popular than I realized.
|
| |
oh wow ok so after reading this thread I realize 90% of sputnik is retarded. I'm not surprised I guess I just didn't realize it was such a high number.
yes everybody, yes, Rolling Stone likes Green Day. I'm sorry that this has come as a shock to you all.
|
| |
^ It's not really a shock, they've been sucking Green Days chode for quite a long time.
|
| |
They also really REALLY like Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan
|
| |
yikes
|
| |
Just Joined The New Myspace

springsteen, young, and dylan
rock journalism is officially run by geriatrics
|
| |
also no menzingers what a bunch of retards
|
| |
Neil Young's album was actually good though
|
| |
oh i don't doubt that all 3 of them are
|
| |
awful list, but thats to be expected
|
| |
@Satellite cant tell if sarcasm.
|
| |
no sarcasm
it was just an innocuous remark on the fact that in 2012 three musicians whose careers started in the sixties made the most popular rock magazine in the world's top 10
|
| |
and that by not including the menzingers they're retards
|
| |
^ this.
|
| |
it's alright but such a cliche choice for RS to put Jack White so high
|
| |
Anyone who complains about #1 clearly hasn't bothered listening to it. Amazing album. #8 appearing is laughable though.
|
| |
giv 'em a break, music is clearly not their thing
|
| |
iUNO hahahahahahha haHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
oh, wait they were serious...
even more laughter HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA
|
| |
R for ridiculous. Usual list of incompetence save for a few music I haven't even heard of yet.
|
| |
I think that Rolling Stone needs some BTBAM in their lives.
|
| |
It sucks that they gave Taylor Swift such a high place on the list. I mean, if a non-mainstream artist would have made the same album, it would have never been on #31. Really expected the new Tallest Man on Earth record to be on there, btw. Weird.
|
| |
I've never been a Bruce Springsteen fan but his last album is some of the worst music I've heard in a long time. This entire list is fucking horrible. Who the hell runs these lists anyway?
|
| |
Echoing what Ali said, I don't mind Wrecking Ball being #1 too much, and although there were some
better albums it shows Springsteen's got a lot left in him.
|
| |
Half that top ten is utter shite!
|
| |
The main problem with this list is the strict avoidance of metal. And, obviously, the inclusion of
Green Day.
|
| |
At least 5 is 5, I definitely think it is top 5 material.
|
| |
what a moron mainstream list, wtf. cloud nothings the only great one on here.
|
| |
Bunch of geriatrics
|
| |
what a moron mainstream list
it's a fucking mainstream publication. seriously wtf were people expecting?
|
| |
1 is solid
2 is gay
3 havent heard
4 havent heard
5 rules
6. lol
7. lol
8. lol
9. lol
10. could have been way better
|
| |
Even our musical site neighbors are more accurate than this.
|
| |
fuck yeh bruce. [2]
So glad I got my tickets!
|
| |
Anyways, list is actually pretty good.
|
| |
8...eight???EIGHT?????EEEEEEEEEIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHTTTTTTT!!!!?!?!?!?!
though with the exception of that, this is a decent list to expect from them...
|
| |
japandroids appearing everywhere
even rock sound had japandroids at something like #26
|
| |
some good albums on here, so awful albums on here, mostly albums I haven't heard. I think grimes and
killer mike are the only albums on here I'd have in my top 10
edit: 10k comments
|
| |
bruce kicks ass
|
| |
Fuck all the mainstream media that doesn't acknowledge Converge.
|
| |
yea fuck em
|
| |
This is so shocking
|
| |
"Fun. should definitely not be at the bottom compared to everything else on the list. Some Nights belongs in the top 20."
LMFAO
|
| |
so i clicked on some article about justin bieber being pissy for not being nominated for a grammy and read "the six artists at the top of the nominees pile include Frank Ocean, Mumford & Sons, Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), Jay-Z, Kanye West and Fun". that's actually not a bad group of artists, thought it was cool
|
| |
Uno should be #1
|
| |
