I think There is a Hell clearly saw Oli/the rest of the band getting their shit together and focusing on their music, studio and performance wise.
Well at least as focused as they can get while still playing generic metalcore
|
| |
looks like oli is a Metal Gear fan. pretty dope.
|
| |
Just went back to There is a hell... forgot how many songs I really liked off of it..
Crucify Me, Fuck, It Never Ends, Dont Go, Fox and the Wolf,
Blacklist was great too
The other's were bad/okay to good
|
| |
In two albums they will sound just like Underoath!
|
| |
If they have songs like Blessed with a Curse and Crucify Me on this upcoming album I'm gonna be fucking happy.
^ Completely agree. 'There Is A Hell...' had some great tracks, I just hope they can build on their strengths some more.
|
| |
Also, I found this tracklist online. I'm sure it's fake, due to there not being a 'Shadow Moses', plus 'Sempiternal' and 'We're Going Nowhere' being two additional & separate tracks. Still, thought it might be interesting.
1. Interlude
2. Four
3. Eyes Ahead of Lives
4. Trinity
5. Sempiternal
6. We’re Going Nowhere
7. Close to Death
8. Myths
9. The Labyrinth
10. Live or Life
11. Nights
12. The Renaissance
|
| |
Holy dick, this sounds dope. I've never really got into BMTH, but I dig the melodic screams/semi-cleans in this. Sounds like it will be much better studio too.
|
| |
hmm intro breakdown. Sounds promising
|
| |
Fag me the Horifag
|
| |
I've never been a huge fan of these guys but the last album showed some real progression. As for this I'd have to agree with you lot it sounds good.
|
| |
Can't hear that much.
|
| |
Bring me the hair straighteners
yeh but nah bands is average as average gets
|
| |
ehhh
ehhhhhhhh
maybs there is a hell had some cool tooons
|
| |
ehhhh

|
| |

|
| |
Metal Gear
|
| |
hahah yah

|
| |
they have terry date (white pony) producing the album so they can't go wrong.
|
| |

i would've expecting him to show and give the
suk
sign
|
| |
haven't seen him in a while actually
|
| |
Actually excited for this, There is a Hell surprised the hell outta me
This sounds promising guys
|
| |
A Metal Gear reference? BMTH might just be onto something here...
|
| |
m/
|
| |
Was expecting 'faux', but equally as sarcastic
|
| |
best stage on ssb brawl
|
| |
Metal Gear?
|
| |
Wow. This was pretty good. Can't wait for the studio version.
|
| |
godsake was expecting a studio version
|
| |

|

Anarchist has cracked it
|
| |
he sounds so much better live now than he used to. it's mind blowing
bet this album rules. if it's at ALL better than there is a hell, it will be great because that album was great
|
| |
Is ok, not my cup of tea but is a solid song
|
| |
when did it become cool to like BMTH?
aside from that song isnt bad but is basically somewhere between of mice & men and underoath
|
| |
breakdown on blacklist is good though
|
| |
This is pretty good. Since Jona joined the band, they're not complete dogshit.
How does the crowd even know the lyrics?
|
| |
The crowd doesn't
|
| |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmU2PFsJK3M&feature=related
Kinda looks like they're singing it.
|
| |
No no, it just comes to them
magically
|
| |
hate live versions of new songs..
|
| |
OH MY DAYUM
!
!!
!
!!
|
| |
Mertal geeeeeururhg m/!!!!!!111!
|
| |
Nominally live versions suck unless the band does a real fuckin showstopper
and the crowd sings along with them accurately
|
| |
This is pretty alright for live though. It's better than the dumbasses who pull out their phones and record it.
|
| |
That was pretty good.
|
| |
This band is good? What?
|
| |
I'm one of the few who have actually liked Suicide Season but no doubt There is a Hell was an improvement and completely blew my mind. So glad they moved away from their original Count your blessings sound haha
|
| |
Anarchist where'd you find that tracklist? Because I've heard in multiple places about "Shadow Moses".
And I have no fucking audio, so somebody please tell me how this sounds. Revert to old stuff? Same as new stuff? Progressing into different stuff?
|
| |
Count Your Blessings sucks so bad.
|
| |
yea
|
| |
this band is homo yea
|
| |
It sounds better, but it's still just that same breakdown/verse/chorus style metalcore. So unless the rest of their stuff is more complicated and has actual post-rock sections, probably won't be my cup of tea.
|
| |
Visions is a reeeeaally good song. Never really cared for anything else from them except for Chelsea Smile
|
| |
My favorites from There Is A Hell are Crucify Me, It Never Ends, Visions, and Blessed With A Curse. Fanboyed over it after their earlier shit sucked hard.
|
| |
Anarchist where'd you find that tracklist?
this thread
|
| |
Fuck didn't notice the quote. Dunce cap for me.
InFiction, where'd you find that?
|
| |
Band fucking sucks
|
| |
How many pony avatars? By Zeus.
|
| |
^_^
|
| |
I like how this band got shat on so hard when they were actually good, and then they start writing awful music and get praise ahahahahaha
|
| |
yes it was
|
| |
Pretty good track. Color me excited for the new record.
|
| |
I like how this band got shat on hard when they were actually good, and then they started continuing to write good music and get praise ahahahahaha
|
| |
Count Your Blessings was the worst deathcore I've ever heard.
|
| |
Had a feeling their 4th release will be coveted by Sputnik users all around as soon as I heard There Is A Hell.
|
| |
this dude used to suck horribly live, and now he apparently doesn't. Very nice.
|
| |
ur avatar makes me sad.
|
| |
I agree with Snide for sure
|
| |
shit song
|
| |
meh band has and always will be meh
|
| |
it's metal me thinks.
|
| |
A news article for a low quality live recording my word
|
| |
Sounds pretty good, even though it's live I got a pretty good idea of what was going on. I'm excited for the new album, hopefully it's a huge step up for these guys, they got potential.
|
| |
fuck yeah. if this album's at least as good as there is a hell, i'll be extremely happy. the metal gear reference in the song title is cool, too.
|
| |
"it was shitty overproduced deathcore with horrible lyrics."
ahahahahahahaha
idk which is funnier, calling that album overproduced, or complaining about deathcore lyrics
|
| |
You know, you could just say you're not into it.
|
| |
Count Your Blessings has really cool guitar parts and some of the best vocals in the genre.
Suicide Season is awful. Their last album was cool, the samples I've heard of the new album are awful. Emmure is dope.
Count Your Blessings is a really good At The Gates rip-off album, fun drinking music, relax.
|
| |
Emmure is so dope bro, I'll pray to Thanos 4 u.
Also, if the lyrics on Count Your Blessings are so bad, why does the album open with "She starts her new diet of liquor and dick"?
|
| |
There's obvious layering, but most vocalists use at least two tracks on recordings, as for altered, I don't buy that shit, considering Oli sounded identical live back in the day, and the past two times I saw them.
|
| |
Seriously Andcas why are you acting like I'm some ignorant kiddy? you know me dawg.
|
| |
"But Oli used to be terrible live. "
I've always heard that, but I've never seen him do a poor performance.
|
| |
Vocal style changed any bit? No audio here.
|
| |
not bad, hopefully an actual recording for it will be out.
and MGS ftw.
|
| |
InFiction, where'd you find that?
Some guy on Tumblr. Hence; I think it's fake. All the titles just sound generic as fuck.
|
| |
Yeah I wouldn't trust Tumblr as a source.
|
| |
didn't realise people actually liked this band here
|
| |
I hope the album is good, and that they actually release an album without filler. I enjoyed the last album but some really shitty and generic songs brought it down.
|
| |
This makes me even more excited for the new album.
|
| |
My boyfriend is really excited for this
|
| |
^ who the fuck cares?
|
| |
When I get the misconception that Snide's icon being Kristen Stewart, actually makes him Kristen Stewart, I very much care.
|
| |
When I get the misconception that Snide's icon being Kristen Stewart, actually makes him Kristen Stewart, I very much care.
I thought it was the guy from HIM
|
| |
i thought this band was universally hated on sput? wtf is this abomination of a thread?
|
| |
Weird.
I didn't find There is a Hell.. All that astonishing. I mean sure, it was a different direction, but mediocre is mediocre. I guess it's a step up from your typical metalcore band on like, RISE or something but they're really not all that mind-boggling.
lolwut.jpg
|
| |
Sound of a band maturing, it works for them. Looking forward to this
|
| |
This album will be incredible if all the songs are of this standard or higher.
|
| |
As much as I liked Count Your Blessings back in the day (they're one of the bands that got me into heavier music) i'm really glad they're maturing the way they are. Seems like they've also gotten better live. Can't wait to hear it
|
| |
17 year old girls with dyed black hair everywhere are pumped.
|
| |
Count Your Blessings was a mess of an album.
|
| |
Oh no, just a general response to the consensus the thread seemed to be creating.
No offense intended, Ms. Parks; you did good work.
|
| |
Why's there so many comments on a shitty quality cell phone video?
|
| |
^ hope
|
| |
Album teaser is nice
|
| |
looks fun as fuck to be there
|
| |
Well no, they're not bad by any means; just beyond over-hyped.
|
| |
Not on this thread, apparently.
meh.
|
| |
I suppose.
I honestly preferred Suicide Season though, but not because 'omg they sold out wtf this is so gay lol', but because it seems like with There is a Hell... they just jumped on the bandwagon using the same techniques most of the bands use nowadays.. vocal chopping.. synthetic orchestral backgrounds.. Oli's vox seeming far less br00tal.. It's just at least with Suicide Season it didn't sound like they were being trendy.
This coming from a person who actually really enjoys a few tracks off There is a Hell.
|
| |
nah
|
| |
So stoked
|
| |
This band, Christ.
|
| |
Sykes has leaked the remix EP that was meant to be released at the end of last year on his Twitter.
|
| |
Just posting his Twitter account cos his tweets have been removed a couple of times already and he's re-posted it: https://twitter.com/olobersyko
|
| |
It's actually pretty decent, surprisingly.
I'm listening to it now, and it's really smooth. Not bad for a first attempt at an ambient electronic sound. I mean yeah, there's a ton of room for improvement, but it's an attempt at doing something not necessarily in line with the trends of the day, so I approve. 3.2 / 5
|
| |
Just posting his Twitter account cos his tweets have been removed a couple of times already and he's re-posted it: https://twitter.com/olobersyko
link's gone
|
| |
Yeah that's a shame, guess you had to be quick. I've got it now, haven't listened yet. Also not sure if I'm allowed to post the rapidshare link as it does seem Oli posted this without permission and that's why the tweets are gone. At the same time though it's his music.
|
| |
Looking forward to the new album if this is anything to go by
|
| |
At the same time though it's his music.
exactly
|
| |
just heard the single version, could have been better. Still, I enjoyed it.
|
| |
Yeah, I enjoyed it too, not enough ambient shit thrown in though
|
| |
yeah, i was hoping for the drawn out intro and more electronic effects.
|
| |
Enjoyed it more 2nd time round, Oli sounds better than ever
|
| |
I didn't realise daniel p carter had an afternoon show, or did it change? I used to listen to his midnight show a while back
|
| |
Changed for a week dude
|
| |
New song we're going nowhere is awesome!!
|
| |
Was the New Music Takeover Week. Last few days 1pm-4pm (UK time) Daniel P Carter's been given free reign. Led to Sepultura, Meshuggah, Slayer etc. all getting daytime airplay on BBC Radio One. Was fantastic.
|
| |
I heard the entire album on YouTube last night and as BMTH being my favorite band, I will go ahead and admitt, the album is absolutely terrible. They have forgotten all their roots and have became a boy band. Not one single high or low scream. And for some reason everyone loves this new album? Probably because it is nothing close to metal and people unfortuanlty dont like metal.
|
| |
knock knock who's there
it's me
wondering why you're still breathing
|
| |
lol at butthurt scene kid
|
| |
