New Gamma Ray Drummer 2012-09-11 by Alex Newton | 8 Comments | German power metal band Gamma Ray have announced that Michael Ehre (Metalium, Uli Jon Roth) will be their new drummer following the sudden departure of longtime-member Dan Zimmerman. This is the first lineup change since 1997's Somewhere Out in Space, when Zimmerman joined the band.
According to singer/guitarist Kai Hansen, the band expects to release their 11th studio album in January.

Was just listening to "Somewhere Out in Space." This new guy had better be as good.

Gamma Ray is so good

Hopefully their next album beats their last. It wasn't "bad" by any means, just unimpressive for these guys. They can do so much more.

Damn, Zimmerman was freaking awesome. Well, maybe this guy can give the band a creative spark, To the Metal was so fucking bland.
