read the description of the video, he is pretty much comparing lovecraftian lore to Christianity, you can pray or ritualize all you want, but shit ain't gonna happen purely on those means. So he wanted to save his son or something, and hoping cthulu or something can save his son. You know, how *Some* Christians pray for their kid's well being instead of taking them to the hospital (believe it or not quite a few people died because of that).

Awesome song and video. JizzInMyPants nailed it dead on. It's more powerful for Cthulu to not appear in the video because it shows the worthlessness of the actions performed towards a "god."
