Tool reveals album title

2006-02-25 by Alex101 | 30 Comments
Some reports from websites/message boards believe that Tool has set "Aldaraia" as the title for their long awaited follow-up to 2001's "Lateralus" and May 2, 2006 as the release date.

Nearly 2 years [which would be 2004], Tool has been working very very hard on this album, but finished on January 29, 2006 and was mastered in 2 days.

During the band's 5 year hiatus, [singer] Maynard James Keenan previously had to pursue his career with A Perfect Circle and released 2 new albums "Thirteenth Step" (2003) and "eMOTIVE" (2004). A Perfect Circle is now on hiatus until likely when the tour of this album ends.

Here are the confirmed tour dates:

April 29-30 - Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, in Indio, California)

May 23-26 - Super Bock Super Rock festival in Lisbon, Portugal

June 3-5 - Pinkpop festival, in Landgraaf, Netherlands

June 16-18 - Greenfield Festival, Switzerland

June 29-July 2 - Roskilde Festival, near Copenhagen, Denmark

June 29-July 2 - Rock Werchter, in Werchter, near Leuven, Belgium

July 4-8 - Quart festival, in Kristiansand, Norway (as reported by Norwegian TV channel TV2).

Here are the confirmed tracks:

1. The Thorn

2. Annuled

3. Visceral

4. The Lucid

5. 23

6. Permute

7. The Median

8. Aldaraian

9. Mandalic

10. The Ascent

11. Laiad Kayenth

Don't believe everything you hear, especially this, seeing as I believe Maynard killed this rumor personally.

That they play Pink-Pop is really intruiging. The festival is only about 30 minutes from my place... Depending on what other bands will play there, I might get tickets

dammit, how close is may? seriously.

it is exciting though, the rumors. but like matrixx333 said, all bullshit until toolband.com confirms it.

I've seen this, and it looks as if no one can really pin down where is has came from, so for me it's a rumour.

Still cannot wait for this album though.

Though I wish this was true, I'm still a little weary about considering it a "hardcore fact." I guess I'll hope this is right, that is until the real news is revealed on Tool Band.

It is a confirmed fake 100%. Don't bother reading toolshed tho. It's a flames fest for over a week.

also, im really hoping for more than 11 tracks. aenima had 15 tracks (9 actual songs), and lateralus had 13 (10 actual songs (im counting triad, since it's hinted that disposition, reflection and triad were all one song at one point)). so, only 11 tracks, plus those weird intermissions that tool makes to add to the expirence, you'd only have maybe 8 or 7 actual songs. there's always the length of the songs, but still...

toolband.com has just completely and totally killed this rumor. it's not real, guess we'll have to wait longer until tool themselves reveal the details about the new album.....

dammit, i want to know!!!!!
