Korn finds replacement Drummer

This is taken from blabbermouth.net

"According to Korn.Simpol.Net, Terry Bozzio will fill in for KORN drummer David Silveria during his temporary hiatus from the band, Martini Republic reports.

Bozzio, 56, who is long considered one of the greatest drummers in rock history, will replace David Silveria for at least one studio album and tour.

According to Martini Republic, Silveria is taking time out from the band to maintain his restaurants — Tuna Town and Silvera's Steakhouse & Lounge — plus spend quality time with his family.

Bozzio has recorded with numerous musicians on hundreds of albums across the musical spectrum, including DURAN DURAN, STEVE VAI, PAUL HYDE, HERBIE HANCOCK, DWEEZIL ZAPPA, BILLY SHEEHAN, RICHARD MARX, MATSUMOTO HIDETO, and more.

KORN is currently writing and recording material for its eighth studio album. An MTV "Unplugged" performance taped last month will be broadcast and released on CD in February."

However I haven't stumbled on any news of Bozzio acknowledging this. Currently Bozzio is doing a Zappa tour.

Well thats surprising. Not the sort of drummer you would expect Korn to have as a fill in.

How could Bozzio be out on tour with Frank Zappa when he is dead and not touring?

Well, if you read the article, you would find that he has worked with Dweezle Zappa, who is not Frank nor is he dead.

Yeah, Dweezil is insanely talented. Definitely more worthy of his surname than say, Ahmet.

Why lose respect for Terry? If I were him, I'd do it too, and I don't like what Korn's been doing. I'd do it to challenge myself in trying to make a good album w/ a bad band. More like doing them a favor. Not that Silveria's a bad drummer but he's been with them for how many albums now? So it'd be more like a breath of fresh air. I'd expect the album to be the best since Issues, which might be worth at least a 2.5 rating in my book.

Half glass full - This could do Korn a great deal of good.
Half glass empty - This could do Bozzio a great deal of bad.

look on the flipside: now at least they've got a member who can play, even if its going to do nothing whatsoever for the songs.

Bozzio is a hired hand. Working guy. And I'm sure this will pay well, as i doubt he comes cheap.

After listening to korn's "See You On The Otherside" I think they should just call it quits.

Korn's drummer was probably the most talented from that band (even if his beats became a lot more simpler as time went on).

Thats not true. I don't like them or hate them. I think they're pretty cool, but I wouldn't say I like them.

I want to see Bozzio's huge ass kit on stage at all the Korn concerts. Would actually make the performance good.
