Christopher Lee second album

2012-06-09 by MO | 23 Comments
Iconic award-winning actor Sir Christopher Lee, famous for an innumerable amount of movie roles, has celebrated his 90th birthday with a second heavy metal album.

Titled "Charlemagne: The Omen of Death", this new heavy metal/power metal album will be the third musical piece Sir Lee will be adding to his vast resume. His first metal album "Charlemagne: The Sword and the Cross" won him the "Metal Hammer Award" in 2010 and was met with with a generally positive reception.

In talking about his new creation he explains that instead of being more symphonic and operatic, "Charlemagne: The Omen of Death" will be "100% heavy metal".

I've heard he sheds even more blood of the Saxon man on this than he did on the first album. So pumped for this.

Such a legend, being 90, Its amazing how much cultural and technological change he's lived through. He was probably in
his late 50's when metal started to become popular, so choosing it as his musical style is remarkable as it must have
been dramatically different than the music of his youth.
