That was damn good. I may be biased, though--this song was my favorite of all the ones I remember from 'The Color Spectrum'.

I wasn't sure what to expect.

But holy fuck.

It's always irked me that the chorus to this song is almost exactly the same as the one on In Cauda Venenum.

Still probably one of my favorite Color Spectrum songs, though.

I never noticed this, but now that you've mentioned it, they do have a similar progression. Just different drum beats.

At least it's an awesome progression.

This is awesome, especially for being fan-made.

I don't care for the choruses of either song, honestly.

The chorus isn't really that similar.

Most of their album's opening tracks have pretty similar dynamics / choruses, which is a little frustrating.

LOL @ the guy on youtube demanding that The Dear Hunter draws influence from Avenged Sevenfold...

That was fucking awesome but the delayed chorus needed to come in with the first gunshot. It lost a little umph.

When will a label on the European side pick this up? Casey said he's been trying to get somebody to take them on so they can tour over here but nobody wants to know.
A band with a growing, dedicated fan base that will pretty much follow them round on tour and buy their music cannot get anyone to distribute their music and promote them. Something is seriously wrong when a talent as good as this can't get into the ears of the masses.

Fuck the underground, this needs to be taken from the forums and webpages and heard on national radio. It would be worth it just to watch the hipsters fuck off and claim 'sell out', whatever the fuck that means.

This. The band is experimental, but in a very friendly, accessible way. Everybody I've ever shown them to has liked them, even the friend of mine that generally only likes metal.
