THURSDAY TO HEADLINE STRHESS TOUR PRESENTED BY PUREVOLUME.COM

SUPPORT ACTS: MURDER BY DEATH, FEAR BEFORE THE MARCH OF FLAMES, AND HEAVY HEAVY LOW LOW

(Dec. 7, 2006 - New York, NY) After wrapping up their fall tour, in support of their new album, A CITY BY THE LIGHT DIVIDED, Island recording group Thursday heads back out on the road for the high-profile "Strhess Tour presented by Pure Volume." The innovative tour, presented by artist Derek Hess' clothing company, will incorporate interactive website contests, record companies, corporate sponsors (including Island), and total fan involvement throughout - will star Thursday as headliner, supported by the bands Murder By Death, Fear Before The March Of Flames, and Heavy Heavy Low Low. Dates will begin January 18th at Webster Theatre in Hartford, and wrap up at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA, on February 3rd. (Please see complete tour itinerary below.)

Thursday's Geoff Rickly states, "We've always tried to make our tours as diverse and interesting as possible and now we're incorporating visual artists and multimedia. We'll be joined by our old friends in Murder By Death as well as two up and coming bands; Fear Before The March Of Flames and Heavy Heavy Low Low. If you can't make it out to any of these shows check out PureVolume.com for all the fun you're missing."

STRHESS tour will give fans a chance to create their own art which will be incorporated into the tour itself, with the excitement of being able to film and bring cameras into the venue! Details on art submission will be announced on www.thursday.net, www.strhesstour.com and www.purevolume.com/tours/strhess. Thursday, along with the rest of the touring bands will choose the 20 entries which will be hosted on Stresstour.com. Fans will vote for their favorites and pick the winner. The Grand Prize will be announced on www.purevolume.com/tours/strhess, and have their original art incorporated into the tour!

Thursday have also recently announced the line up and date for their annual home town holiday show. This year they will be performing at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ on December 27th. NJ's very own Lifetime and New London Fire will join them along with From Autumn To Ashes. Pre-sale tickets with a discounted fee for all of these shows are availble through https://tixx1.artistarena.com/thursday/

New Jersey's own Thursday - lead singer Geoff Rickly, guitarists Steve Pedulla and Tom Keeley, keyboardist Andrew Everding, bassist Tim Payne, and drummer Tucker Rule - have built a loyal grassroots following on tour and over the Internet since the release of their album debut in 2000, Waiting (on the indie Eyeball imprint). Constant roadwork in support of their next album for Chicago's Victory label (Full Collapse in 2001) brought Thursday to Island in 2002, and the Vans Warped Tour in 2003. War All the Time arrived in September 2003, peaking at #7 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, on the strength of its top 30 Modern Rock Track and video, "Signals Over the Air."
