NIN: New Album Also Coming

2006-12-14 by Jom | 11 Comments
Is it possible I am actually finished writing and recording a new Nine Inch Nails record? muses Trent Reznor in a message through the band's official website.

Apparently so. We begin mixing in January! Juggling fifteen all-new tracks around. Testing sequences. No leftovers from With Teeth. Highly conceptual. Quite noisy. Fucking cool.

As previously reported in September (http://www.sputnikmusic.com/news.php?newsid=1356), the band announced plans for a new album, although details were vague and sketchy.

Also previously reported this week, Reznor revealed plans for a DVD (http://www.sputnikmusic.com/news.php?newsid=2140). Slated for release in late February, Beside You In Time will have a lot of With Teeth-dominated tracks. Further, "Right Where It Belongs" and "Beside You in Time" can be viewed from alternate camera angles.

Beside You in Time can be viewed on the band's website. The DVD will be available in standard form as well as in HD and Blu-Ray.

God, stop making music! You have released the same album for 17 years now!

Didn't he say that he wasn't gonna make music after he was 40? He should have stuck by that

As long as it beats the craptastic release that was With Teeth, I will be happy.

Damn right. If Trent is breaking his 5-year album pattern this drastically he must have been flushed with ideas. Hopefully this album will be great.
