The new guy has a very smooth, atmospheric voice, I really like it.

still pissed they replaced Dan with Elliot.
probably always will be.

Elliot sounds really good at times but really obnoxious and overly feminine for the most part.

If you think Elliot is bad on the recordings then you ought to hear him live... likewise, if you think Elliot is a good singer then you ought to hear him live. He is absolutely horrific.

Thank God he has the benefit of a hundred takes and studio magic, because if he was as bad on record as he is live it would be unbearable.

This times 10. They opened for BTBAM and were terrible. Animals as Leaders and BTBAM ruled face though.

This band opened for Protest The Hero. They're one of those bands that takes themselves way too seriously considering they sound like trash live. The singer kept staring out into the crowd with an epic stare and I swear the guitarists left hands were broken, as all i heard was straight chugs for 30 mins. Thus, a lot of people went outside to wait until PtH got on stage.

Forgot they had a new vocalist when I started listening.

They sound terrible.

I thought they were great when they opened for PtH. Then again, they had Dan then.

they sounded fine to me when i saw them open for btbam with animals as leaders. that said, i like dan way way way better than elliot, and elliot's voice is kind of grating in the new recordings

Hmmm. I liked the old vocalist a lot more for their style. And it seems like these guys rehash the same songs over and over. "Let's make an EP. Oh guys let's make an album but get this, we'll put all the songs from our EP on it. Let's make an acoustic EP using our old songs."

and now the acoustic rerecordings of the songs we've already rerecorded as a "thank you" to our "fans" a little while ago.

I saw these guys with Between the Buried and Me and Animals as Leaders...these guys suck!!

These guys don't like writing new music, do they?

They've said repeatedly that:
1) This acoustic EP was a contractual obligation, planned well before Dan left.
2) There'll be a new album out by the end of this year.

Plus, Elliot fucking rules.

Still undecided on Elliot. Sometimes he sounds decent, other times he just sounds awkward. Having an awkward voice myself, I can appreciate that, but still, it'll take time to get used to him after Dan.

Having him sing Dan's material isn't helping either.
