New GnR track appeared

2006-02-16 by Damrod EMERITUS | 10 Comments
The song "I.R.S." from the long announced album "Chinese Democracy" appeared in various Guns n Roses fan forums. This is the second time the track leaked, after it aired on a New Yorker radio station in 2003. The station recieved it anonymously, and the management of the band forced the song off the playlist.

Meanwhile, signs for a realistic release of the album are thickening. In an interview in the January issue of Rolling Stone singer Axl Rose announced the album for this year. "Some arrangements remind of Queen" Rose is quoted there. 26 of 32 songs are finished and 13 are going to be picked for the album. This would mark the first studio album by Guns n Roses after 13 years.

Rumors state Rose already played the album in a New Yorker club, celebrating his 44th birthday there Mid-February.

Axl is the only well-known member left, isn't he? Shouldn't he just release it as a solo album instead? This Message Edited On 02.16.06

Guns N Roses would sell a lot more copies than Axl Rose. namewise i mean. Cuz a lot of people who love GnR hate Axl.

well, Axl was pretty much responsible for the first GnR roster, so if he kept his smarts for at least that portion of the band-making process, then it might be somewhat decent.

Who exactly IS on the album besides Axl? There've been so many line up changes in the last few years, for example, does Buckethead still play on the album even though he left?
