Liked their first cd, although it was a bit generic. Hopefully they progress further with this release, they have potential.

I can obviously understand why people wouldn't like this band, but I think they're awesome. Pretty damn excited for a new album.

"The Pennsylvania based metalcore act Motionless in White have announced both that they are starting to work on their sophomore album."

Didn't the staff just make a big deal about how they were going to start strictly moderating staff articles? This sentence doesn't even make sense.

Actually really like these guys, bit generic but they have amazing video's and some cool lyrics.

Also the lead singer had a massive row with Jonny Craig, and totally burned him.

"BVB are in it
for the looks and the money, MIW have actual substance."

They why do the band try so hard to look the way they look.

http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lhjs6cRo7X1qdk3v9o1_500.jpg

They look like they put about the same amount of effort black veil brides to try to look like that. And for what? To appeal the hot topic kids?

MIW - band who wears make up for expression.
BVB - band who wears make up for a gimmick.[2]

In an interview of Andy from Bvb, he has stated

"... I think in terms of sound and image, obviously growing up we idolized bands like WASP, MÖTLEY CRÜE and KISS and we also had a deep love for bands like METALLICA and MEGADETH. For us it’s blending the idea with theatrical rock like ALICE COOPER-style and more heavy metal sound that we were always interested in. It was never a conscious effort to wear makeup or dress up, that’s what bands looked like and we thought it was cool. The sound and the image was always with us since day one and we always wanted to do it."

In your opinion, would this be a valid reason for wearing a ton of make-up?, for a theatrical effect?

Compare that to an interview with Chris from Miw
"Chris Motionless: Probably since 8 or 9th grade, when I heard of AFI, then got into the Misfits I started wearing all black and makeup and everything, it became what I personally liked. Then, when I met these guys and as the band progressed we just kind of took it to extremes, more and more extreme. It’s not doing anything that’s completely unique, but we don’t want to be basic or bland at what we do. Anyone can wear makeup, and it’s just wearing makeup, but we strive to get it to be a little more like WOAH!"

He seems to just wear it just cause. Does he have a valid reason?

BVB look like they wear makeup just to appeal to scene girls and look 'attractive'. MIW don't really seem to do that, it's almost as if they intentionally (for want of a better word) make themselves look more ugly and unappealing. That's all I can interpret

Dug the shit out of Creatures for a while. I hope they give the synths a more horror-y vibe, though.

As much as I dislike the huge amount of fangirly attention BVB gets and how overrated they are, I kinda feel like they have as valid of a reason to dress how they do as MIW, but, whatever. Doesn't really matter.

I'm curious as to how much diversity and creativity this record is going to have. They say they want to put out something new but Creatures for the most part was pretty basic.

Their sound doesn't quite justify their over the top image.

Hopefully they don't do the metalcore regress, where they come out with a fairly good debut that's ahead of most of their peers, then run out of ideas and release a chuggy breakdown laden shitty second album.

the way they look doesn't bother me like other bands. dk why.

cos (for the most part) they make themselves look more ugly and horror-esque rather than just making themselves look pretty for the scene girls
