and lucasjcockcroft, I kind of feel as though their latest record was worse. It's sad, but one of the only things that makes them remotely enjoyable is the humor in how terrible their "unique traits" made them sound. With the new album, it seemed as though they thought that being exempt from those sounds would make them more tolerable, when in reality it took away their humorous qualities and gave "boring" a new definition.

I still think This Means War should have been an ep without the first half of the album. The first half grew on me, but it's not as good as the second half.

Just when they were showing signs (very faint, but still signs) of improvement in This Means War.

If improvement means going from shitty metalcore with bad synths to shitty metalcore then yeah they improved big time

Well yeah, lack of shitty autotune and bad synths is definitely an improvement. Now they're just shitty generic metalcore. Crabcore or genericore? I know which I'd rather be. But then again I prefer groove metal so am unlikely to end up in either.

Everyone makes it seem like they've been kicked off or whatever, but their contract simply expired. Most bands sign a three-release contract with a label, after which they're free to leave, or re-sign. Attack Attack! has grown to be big enough and well-known enough to not need the promotional power of a label. They could sell a ton with just their Facebook page.
