I'm with andacas on this. I loved American Idiot, but they should stop trying to make it again. It was a one time thing that will never be repeated by them. They should go back to their older stuff.

One of the few bands I genuinely wish would stop making music. Atleast for like 5-10 years so they can come up with something that isn't absolute pseudo-punk garbage.

Hopefully this is good, but I'm probably hoping for too much. Loved AI, Dookie, and Nimrod, but 21st was horrible.

I honestly have never heard one of their songs. Therefore, I can't say if they suck or not. Either way, it's not drone/avant-garde/ambient, neofolk, black metal, or post-rock. Therefore, I probably wouldn't like it.

I just hope they'll make something more introspective and less arena rock-ish, but probably they'll do something just as big and superficial as 21st Century Breakdown

I liked these guys when I was like 6 growing out of backstreet boys and the shitty fads of preschool, and then I started actually discovering music for myself, then I found real bands at 7.

Green Day = real band.

I would bet you're not as good as either Mike Dirnt or Tre Cool at your instrument.

And before you say they can't play: Welcome To Paradise.

As for this, I'm cautiously excited. Their two albums were both strong, but generally not that exciting. Still going to listen to and get (download) this when it comes out though.
