That was really good. Although, I don't understand why their putting a track on the new album that was recorded along or maybe even before the self-titled was out. Also, that snare is incredibly overpowering.

| |
Have his harsh vocals gotten worse? Solid song regardless.
| |
This was an old song with the vocals already provided on it before. The vocals didn't get re-mastered or re-done but the guitars and stuff did. Not sure about the drums though.
| |
Song is fantastic, looking forward to Periphery II. I love how raspy the harsh vocals are getting.
| |
this was alright, don't understand the comment about the harsh vocals getting worse, they sound fine
| |
His harsh vocals have progressed nicely. Watch some of the studio updates where he tracks. He sounds really good.
| |
These guys are Alter Bridge, just more metal and with slightly better/less soloing
| |
This won't be on the new album >_> it was released for the UK special edition of their debut a week
ago, we just got it as a single yesterday.
| |
Yo this was on a to-be-released Haunted Shores album... It came out on the Haunted Shores page months and months ago.... this isn't a new periphery song.
| |
^ dammit that sucks. Because this is a lot better than anything I've heard before from them. Less djent and more melody. The vocals have all around improved if you ask me.
| |
"Also, that snare is incredibly overpowering. " [2]
and every "s" sound he produces hurts my ears.
but song is solid
| |
This is most certainly not prog
| |
song goes full on scene in the second half, and then goes full on gay deathcore at the end
First half wasn't so bad
| |
that was good, excited for their new album
| |
band is pretty bad. song is okay for the first half, second half is terrible
| |
that's was pretty horrible, not a surprise
tho the more melodic sound was a nice change, it wasn't enough improve their overall lame sound
| |
These guys are Alter Bridge, just more metal and with slightly better/less soloing
Oh dear lord. Chain it back in the dungeons, quick!
| |
Wow this is awesome
| |
ok i lied, this is a periphery song now but it was released as part of the special edition of the first album in europe.
| |
Okay this was pretty cool. If those lows at the ending are done by Spencer he's deffenly progressing!
| |
song's good
| |
That was pretty damn good. And I thought I had completely outgrown any kind of metal. I guess, I was wrong.
| |
very average.
| |
sucks, they should just be an instrumental band, djent singers all suck
| |
his vocals have improved massively though. and I've always liked his cleans
| |
Pretty sure the vocals on this song were tracked quite awhile back, before Spencer really started to improve. I've watched clips of him tracking and he sounds a hell of a lot better, and he wasn't using any tuning effects to help him. So yeah, this song is just okay but I'm definitely looking forward to the new album this year.
| |
I hate how overrated Misha is. Mark Halcomb is the only reason I can even stand this band, and if he releases a new Haunted Shores album I'll be ecstatic.
| |
That snare is approaching St. Angerian levels of annoyance.
| |
pretty good.
| |
omg your name is makemebad35 and he is a guy on youtube and i like him
| |
They need a new singer badly
| |
I'm pretty sure this is on the re-release of the self-titled, not on the new album.
| |
Well that was awesome. I see improvement in spencer sotelo
| |
band is so boring.
| |
I find them to be one of the only enjoyable djenty type bands.
| |
this is the best song they ever made.
| |
The end is actually pretty awesome, and the faster part about halfway in. Don't care about the vocals, it's obvious they were recorded a long time ago, and I think Spencer's progressed since then.
| |
Thall > Periphery though
| |
I'll second that bloc
| |
Song is pretty good, it'll be interesting to hear what the rest of the album is going to sound like.
| |
That was good
| |
"this is the best song they ever made."

the main reason I'm looking forward to their new album is because of this song and scarlet being on it. haunted shores>periphery, though I guess they're the same thing now. oh well.
| |
Um, Counterparts?
This better not be some new direction they're taking.
Good song and all, but it's not up to my standards of prognificent Periphery.
| |
Great song! It will be awesome to see this song performed live! Though as stated on their facebook page, this song isn't necessarily an indication of the direction they're heading with their music. It's just a re-recording.
| |
track still slays
| |
band is fucking awful
| |
woopty dee dee
| |
when i think of this band i think of ''all technique no substance or depth''. I think that's why i don't like them at all, they seem like they just want to be progressive and cool.
| |
ha ha who cares about the songwriting right?
| |
not best songwriting but no arcade fire though.
| |
my biggest gripe is probably with the production
| |
Haunted Shores fool.. Misha and Mark Holcomb collaboration.
| |
sounds like an atonal meshuggah
| |
^ lol
