Recently, Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone on BBC Radio played a new track from Japanese extreme
metal band Sigh, titled "The Transfiguration Fear." The track comes from the group's
upcoming album In Somniphobia. The song is available on Youtube as well as on re-
listen on the radio show's iplayer (starting at around 16:50).

I'm surprised more people haven't heard Sigh before. Awesome band! That jazzy solo was fuckin' cool.

I was hoping they would ditch the sound on Scenes From Hell and return to a more Sonicscape style of music. This is so fucking awesome. Stoked.

"Going to finish watching Shogun Assassin with Scenes From Hell being the soundtrack."

Hell yes!

This song is amazing, but 80% of users on this site should steer very clear of this.

Wrong.

Man I really need to watch the other 5 installments. And write a conceptual album on the Masters of Death.

In all seriousness, I'm interested to hear a new album from them. I like this band, but I never really thought they were anything too special.

Mikkanibal was, as somebody else already put it, used extremely well here.

Definitely in my top 3 favourite metal bands of all time. I think they get a lot of heat for not conforming to traditional metal standards, because let's face it, they're pretty 'out-there'.

I don't look at Sigh or even classify them as a metal band. I will label them clusterfuckcore and move on.
