It seemed like the wait between Avenged Sevenfold and Nightmare was endless, but by the time this comes out it will have been the same amount of time or longer, yet it seemed to fly by

Just because the albums suck doesn't mean a band stops, look at AC/DC's discography.

I've always liked their guitarists and the previous drummer, but the vocals are terrible and will always prevent me from liking this band.

Hopefully this album will be a return to Waking the Fallen or City of Evil. Last two albums were okay at best. Hopefully harsh vocals will return since M. Shadows can scream again.

i have exactly zero friends who like avenged sevenfold

i hated them until I heard a minor league baseball player (for those wondering, it was Brett Harper) use Unholy Confessions as his intro music. I then got waking the fallen, loved it, then changed my mind about City of Evil, then listened to critical acclaim like, several hundred times, then i heard their self-titled and lol'd so hard cuz it was baddddddddddddd then i just went back to listening to waking the fallen and critical acclaim and the wicked end and then nightmare came out and i heard the single which was VERY VERY FUNNY to post around threads on sputnik with syn going YOR FUCKIN NIGHTMARRRRRRRRRR but when i eventually listened to nightmare (the album) i liked it ok although i barely listened to it... i still like to RIP the rev pretty hard in threads (im going to do it right after i finish writing this)...

This band is definitely not as bad as a lot of you guys make them out to be. They definitely have several good songs. I always have been a fan. They aren't great by any means but they put out some pretty good songs on each album.

Even if that were true, the consistency of the bad songs would indicate that they wrote the good ones accidentally.

Most of City of Evil and Waking The Fallen were pretty good. Not a fanboy, and they aren't amazing, but I think they do some great melodic bits.

Last album and a half were pretty damn bad, but the single they put out a while back actually seemed fairly promising, so we'll see about this.

In no conceivable way is liking Saves The Day worse than liking Avenged Sevenfold.

I agree, "Save Me" is great, "Not Ready to Die" kinda sucks minus the solo...

The album will probably suck as a whole but have a few great tracks.

It'll be interesting to see what these guys will do after Nightmare (that's right, I like this band, deal with it suckers). Kind of hope they recruit a better drummer than Illejay, though. His work on 'Not Ready to Die' just didn't cut the cheese for me.
