Being worse than Death Magnetic has nothing to do why this wasn't on there. It was probably only cut because it didn't fit with the whole "THRASH" thing they were going for aside from the two soft songs. The chorus on this is way too melodic and creative to be on that album.

If you create 4 (some might say 5) undisputed masterpieces, then it's natural to ran out of inspiration.
The bad thing is that they should acknowledge the fact that they have lost it and retire instead of being a parody.
