I've always felt like these guys had the potential to really break out and do something amazing, but keep doing the same formula over and over. At least the formula is good.

Will be just another Chevelle album. Above-average songs, with some good and maybe 1 or 2 great.

I'm really worried about this :/
Chevelle is one of my favorite bands probably. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but my expectations are not high at all, and that's rare with a Chevelle record.

Face to the Floor has to be good

It's going to be like every other album: 11 songs, Chevelle fans will like it, haters will hate.
The one thing that really is disappointing is that "Face to the Floor" kicks the album off. Think about that song compared to the other album starters they've had: fucking Family System, The Clincher, Sleep Apnea, and Antisaint...it does not look great alongside those srry

completely agree. it's not a bad song, but Chevelle has a reputation for starting out really strong and that trend seems poised to break. gay.
here's hoping they keep up with the awesome third track for this one (see also: Saferwaters, Shameful Metaphors, Send The Pain Below, Vitamin R)
