i though that first 777 album was kinda... meh, i guess. it had a great sound/idea, but that's all it was. one idea. every track was the same.

idk if i'll bother with this.

Whoa, did they just decide to put all their great ideas on the first disc?

What record were you listening to? They switched it up quite a bit in terms of dynamics and such.

It's basically just a more boring version of Sect(s), as people are saying. It really goes nowhere for me. By far the worst album I've heard from them.

I got bored with them after the last 2 albums. I need to check this out still and see if it really is worse. I'd much rather listen to Ruins of Beverast or Urfaust than BAN or Deathspell.

yeah the tempo might be different but theres literally no difference between this and sect in terms of quality

seriously the 777 series blows ((

This just really isn't hitting the spot. It lacks something TWWTG had.

Me too, quite a lot actually. However, this is just too slow to get going with anything interesting.

Whenever they get a good riff going they just eviscerate any potential it had by following it with 7 minutes of just meandering nothingness.

"This just really isn't hitting the spot. It lacks something TWWTG had."

Like maybe the fact that TWWTG is a BM album and this isn't?

I think the only tracks that got boring were the last 2.

I hope their third record has more riffs and less tripiness. Meditant pt2 would be well-welcomed.

twwtg and mvII are their best.

But I insist, this is not a bad album, especially for the middle part of a trilogy.

I don't know, I am kind of digging this. I can see where people are coming from saying that it is somewhat boring to their ears, but there is a lot of cool layering going on behind the simplicity. I am jamming it on my good speakers and a lot of melodies and sounds are popping out. I, myself, dug Sects...and this righteous in my opinion.

the fact that this is trippy isnt what's making this bad - blut aus nord are excellent at that, just check out the EP Thematic - its just done really poorly
