New James Blake Material

2011-11-06 by Deviant. STAFF | 36 Comments
Not one to rest on his laurels, breakout dubstep artist James Blake is set to release yet another EP through R&S Records (the same label to release his acclaimed CMYK and Klavierwerke EPs).

The new 12" will be comprised of a-side 'Love What Happened Here' and two b-sides, 'At Birth' and 'Curbside'.

Earlier in the year Radio 1 DJ Benji B was among the first to spin the title track. A rip of that performance can be checked out below.

The EP will be released on December 11th.

Yeah, it's definitely kinda "simple" compared to his some of his earlier jams but at the same time it's definitely refreshing to hear him work in this kind of style again

Loved At Birth, not a big fan of Love What Happened Here. I guess I need James Blake songs with an emotive element at this point.

Have you checked out his early stuff Omaha?

I have. His earlier stuff is more fun to me, but still not as satisfying as I feel it could have been. This felt more cohesive than his earlier works, although I haven't heard them a ton so I could be wrong.

Enough Thunder showed Blake going in a direction that I'm quite content with, although his piano-only tracks are quite boring...

He's putting out a lot of music yes, but this one's only three songs, so it's not like he's putting out a new full length yet. (Not commenting on music, haven't ever listened to him yet)

At birth is awesome, maybe one of his best songs.
the other one is good but Im mainly just happy bc of the return to form deal.

Are Placing Us, No More than a Road, and At Birth gonna be relased on this ep? Thatd be a kickass ep
