Upon visiting the link, Nickelback's "How you Remind Me" plays out of the left speaker, and "Someday" out of the right. Listen for yourself...

I cracked up and remembered the first time I heard SOmeday and thought it was "This is How You Remind Me."

Although this does have its point. But the Sumeday verison was tampered with to match How You Remind Me. Also Someday was the more dominate one.

Dang those tracks are really similar.

Yeah you probably could do that with a lot of ACDC tracks.

Well the pitches of Someday was changed from the origninal version, so at least they weren't in the same key. This website took Someday and altered the pitch so it matched the same notes as the other song. They still used the same progressions, which is bad enough.

And even some of the drum fills are the same haha.

What amazes me is that you could do the same thing to a lot of bands (most notably AC/DC and Metallica) and its okay, but when Nickelback does it...OMG! THEY ARE HORRIBLE!

Jeez people, these guys have such a hatred for the band that they went to try to get these songs to sound alike to prove their point of how much "Nickelback sucks".

I happen to like both those songs and I like some Nickelback. Do I think they are repetitive? yes Do I think they are unoriginal? yes Do I think they are countless of better bands with more talent? yes.

But the point being is that they aren't the worst band out there, they have good qualities as well and they are good to their fans, which is more I can say for a lot of bands. I saw them in concert in March and I was really taken aback at how kind they were. Jamming out some Pantera, shootin Merch into the audience, tribute to Dime, nice rapport with the audience.

I just think these guys get a bad rap because they write pop songs. I just dont like the senseless hatred for them.

But the blantness of how similar those songs are is what makes it so unique, unline the songs themselves.

I'm sure you can throw Savin' Me in the same mix as well. This Message Edited On 11.19.06

They actually sound better mashed
And this same technique could be applied to every song hotshot pop-writer Max Martin ever conceived. Kelly Clarkson, P!nk and those fucking Veronicas - it's all the same song!

I actually like the songs compiled together. Dual vocals that say completely different things would be awesome to do.

This is amusing. And yeah Metallica nd AC/DC get a fair amount of hate thrown their way too.
Did anyone see the episode of South Park where they got caught downloading music and the dude took them to Lars Ulrich's place so they could see him crying because he couldn't afford like a gold platted fish tank that he was gonna put in his personal bar?

are you kidding me? you can take 90% of blues records and smash them together and you wouldn't be able to tell one song from the next.

i mean srv has like four other songs that are exactly the same as texas flood, almost note for note including the solos. This Message Edited On 11.20.06
