I was about to say. The vocals are a bit drab. The music was really good though.

Song is decent, vocalist is very good with highs, the general guitaring in the album is boring, can't touch the previous album.

What's with the production style? The instruments are subdued, very low in the mix and lack any sort of impact. The vocals are very high in the mix like this is supposed to be a radio ditty. The instruments ain't supposed to just be background noise! The whole point of Textures' style of music is the punctuated rhythmic intensity married with some great clean vocal melodies (or more rhythmic harsh vocals).

^I was wondering the exact same thing about the instruments sounding very tame in the mix. Hell, the entire mix sounds tame.

Song is good and vocalist has great range on this album. Vocals are not weak. Have a feeling people are hating on the vocals because they are sung in all cleans and not mixed or all harsh vocals like the he does on the rest of the album.

I haven't heard anything else by the new guy. I just know that the old vocalists had such a rich voice in terms of power. However, I had never seen him perform live. I prefer the cleans anyway. I might listen to some other tracks off of this. I just hope the vocalist's voice isn't as empty as I originally felt it was.

So true, this is a little more laid back than their previous releases.

Agreed, Eric (previous vocalist) had very good mids, if I may put it that way.
Listening to this song daily while travelling, good song.
