|
| |
Relinquished....cmon man
|
| |
song fucking kills.
|
| |

|

yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
|
| |
fuck yessssssss!!! :] i was just about to listen to the new opeth but they can suck it!
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Noctus!
|
| |
i'll listen to opeth soon! :[
|
| |
also i'm kind of disappointed with this, it sounded far, far better when they played it live. :[
|
| |
do they still sound like boring Isis clones?
|
| |
Can't believe people are rating Heritage so soon, im feeling as though ill need a lot more listens before i can decide on a rating.
But back on point, im intrigued to hear this. Will do after listening through heritage ;)
|
| |
This is scheduled for release on September 27.
Omg same day as the new Mastodon...
There is a God after all, and he made september the month of METAL
m/
|
| |
do they still sound like boring Isis clones?
they never did though :[
|
| |
@Motiv3 i haven't rated Heritage yet. it's definitely not an immediate album, gonna require a few listens in order to get a grip on it. i like it, i'm just not sure how much...
|
| |
I liked it. The ending reminded me of the track A Determinism of Morality a bit.
|
| |
This is a bit samey, but I still love it. The ending was cool.
|
| |
posted on brooklynvegan, of course
|
| |
really cool song
|
| |
I love Isis, The Ocean, and Intronaut, so why am I so lukewarm on Rosetta? Is it the tar-pit production? The monotone vocals? The lack of dynamic shifts? I feel like I'm missing the boat on this one.
|
| |
Holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
|
| |
Sup Relinquished
|
| |
Also sounds like Rosetta. Will need a few more listens to fully appreciate it, like i did with ADOM.
|
| |
How many songs will be on the split?
|
| |
song is pretty good, but it goes on for too long
|
| |
fuck yes
|
| |
@ Outnumbered: ummm, good question
|
| |
Either way, looking forward to this.
|
| |
Its ok i guess but this band has been on the downhill since ADOM.
|
| |
actually thinking about it, this is pretty damn average. And to think Rosetta was one of my favourite bands .
|
| |
It's a grower, kinda. It did the same thing to me with "So Warm A Solitude", and pretty much the same with ADOM.
EDIT: second listen, it's already getting fucktastic. That drumming man...
|
| |
These guys live blow away anyone I've EVER seen live. Ever more so in the relatively small bars/areas they play in. Brilliant band.
|
| |
obviously this rules
|
| |
@Thanntos: look up the shoutbox in their last.fm profile. Armine proposed some girl to play in her apparently very small basement.
Fuck, i could actually ask him if it'd be possible to play in my bedroom.
|
| |
Yessss
|
| |
"How many songs will be on the split?"
It's this and a Soundgarden cover.
|
| |
No surprise here, the song rules as expected.
|
| |

i can relate to this soooooooooo much
|
| |
I like Rosetta better than Intronaut and Isis, tbh
|
| |
Sounds like every Post Metal band, what a surprise
|
| |
This is so fucking good dude, shut up.
Also, Rosetta live = fuck yeah. Saw them at the Junius CD release show last fall. Fugyeah.
|
| |
It is good, just nothing new
|
| |
Neither is anything else coming out anymore.
|
| |
Never knew this band was from Philly. Makes me proud to say that we got an awesome band from here.
|
| |
That's not completely true, some Metal bands can still innovate.
However, Post-Metal, Metalcore and Thrash seem to be almost dead nowadays (with a few exceptions of course).
|
| |
wasn't so impressed in the beggining, but half-way onwards it got soooooooooo much better. these guys never disappoint
|
| |
Outstanding, as always.
|
| |
fuck i love this band. this rules.
|
| |
more jizz itt than a sperm bank
|
| |
I think I just died inside.
Gonna listen now, so excited.
|
| |
Can they get any better?
The second half the song is just... holy crap wow.
|
| |
Solid track.
|
| |
I still don't get why would anyone bother with this band except The Cure cover.
|
| |
"I still don't get why would anyone bother with this band except The Cure cover."
Cuz they're awesome.
|
| |
This track is great, almost as good as So Warm a Solitude.
Re them being boring/Isis clones, I kinda thought the same thing until I saw them play a house show a few years ago,
which is still the best show I've ever seen. They're pretty much my favourite band now.
Also, The Ocean suck.
|
| |
Sexy as breh.
|
| |
do they still sound like boring Isis clones?
Yep.
|
| |
'Also, The Ocean suck.'
This x10000000. But this song is painfully average by Rosetta's standards.
|
| |
Eh. I'm hoping that the split will be awesome....and I think it will be. But this song is rather.....plain. Not bad, just plain.
|
| |
it wasn't average when they played it live on that video they uploaded, that's for sure. it just doesn't transcend well to recording unfortunately. :[
|
| |
The split will have Rosetta covering Soundgarden, and I think we all know how awesome Rosetta covers are.
|
| |
Cuz they're awesome.
how? they seem to playing the same "ooh spacey riffs" till fucking infinity. the only reason why the cover was interesting, cause it initially was not their song.
|
| |
oh that cure cover was amazing .cant wait for the soundgarden cover
|
| |
how? they seem to playing the same "ooh spacey riffs" till fucking infinity. the only reason why the cover was interesting, cause it initially was not their song.
yeah but those spacey riffs are really good and appeal to me and lots of other people. tell me a band that do them like they do that isn't Neurosis because I just don't like them as much. :]
|
| |

yeah but again - they all seem the same. whilst I don't like post-metal, I assume that I just don't get it, but with Rosetta it is like I just don't get why isn't everyone bored like 2 minutes into their next song. honest to fucking god they sound like they just record jamming sessions, just jamming harmonics with the same guitar effects.
|
| |
hellpickle, it depends what you like man. once you listen to enough post-metal you have your different
post-metal moods. rosetta do the space thing the best - no one does it better. it's just their niche.
i can see what you're saying and i agree with it somewhat.
i sense they are trying to find a way to be more dynamic with it - attemping to chug, etc. i think
they just need to add chugs/riffs/licks with a slightly more rawer sound so they can stipulate more
defining moments in their tracks.
|
| |
Never knew this band was from Philly. Makes me proud to say that we got an awesome band from here.
Philly has/has had a lot of awesome bands dude...
|
| |
The 9/8 at the end blew my mind. I feel they're going in an even more progressive direction with this. I just want a FULL album.
|
| |
sploosh
|
| |
"but isis is so much better at doing the space thing"
+1
|
| |
not that good.
|
| |
"but isis is so much better at doing the space thing"
they've never sounded spacey to me at all
|
| |
ooh spacey riffs
|
| |
yeah, isis isn't that spacey imo. (you could argue a few tracks are, though)
on another note, i think rosetta should release an album of covers.
|
| |
"but isis is so much better at doing the space thing"
Yeah, nah.
|
| |
inb4 other people overrate this to death
You were already too late
|
| |
Holy shit this is so fucking boring are you kidding me
|
| |
that was pretty cool
|
| |
really dig this band, song rules.
|
| |
The song is good, as expected, but it's nothing really new from ADOM.
|
| |
never been a fan of this band, but if they keep this direction i might just buy their new record.
|
| |
