Hawthorne Heights Case Twists

2006-11-11 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 8 Comments
Awkward-looking pop-punksters Hawthorne Heights have received a boost in their lawsuit against former label Victory Records.

The band is suing Victory and CEO Tony Brummel for breach of contract and several other counts, including fraudulent accounting practices. A Chicago judge labelled as "absurd" the band's claim that their Victory deal was "terminable at will," however KingSoFar.com has reported that another judge this week reversed the decision, and the case is therefore set to continue.

Hawthorne Heights are currently writing and preparing to record their third album.

darkest hour and dead to fall are about the only bands worth bothering about on that label. maybe one or two more whose names escape me, but mostly its shitty emo-pop shite.
