Personally, i love this album... It's a change definitely. A good change in my opinion.

I actually like Anthony Kiedis, at least when he sings.

I will definitely listen at some point.

this is actually a really good album, other than tracks 2 and 7. I still have about 20 minutes to go (woah 20 minutes? this thing is an hour....hmm) but yeah I like it, 3-3.5 so far, but I don't know, the long playtime might have some impact on the score.

I mean Kiedis is terrible for the most part (both lyrically and vocally, especially lyrically) but
I've been listening to this band for over a decade so I've gotten over that. Definite negative aspect
of the album sure, but if he stops you from listening to/liking it then you were never going to enjoy
RHCP anyway.

Ok track "Happiness Loves Company" is pretty bad too, so that's 3 of 10 so far that I don't like, not bad.

It plays it all as the one track which is kinda lame.
I go away today and come back Friday. I'll probably listen to it then.

New guitar player is no Frusciante...

I didn't want to believe the lack of Frusciante would have such a big impact on this album but it really does seem bland and lacking throughout most of it. I enjoyed about 4 songs and thought Goodbye Hooray was pretty boss.

New guitarist managed to imitate some Frusciante licks.

Album is meh. Pretty much what I expected.

They just don't work properly without John.

well they worked pretty well at making bad music while he was still in the band

this album sounds really flat and lifeless, looks like rick rubin has perfected his "sit on the couch and nod" approach to producing

there's a couple cool grooves and it's somewhat enjoyable background music for driving

Factory of Faith is terrible.

FAAKT-SCHOU-WHOULLLY AAAHHHHHH - annoying. The only thing worse may be the chorus of "Look Around." Kiedis really shit the bed on some of these tracks.
