That said, Ghost is great and Deconstruction is pretty good.

I think the DTP is the best thing Devy's done. Ki, Addicted, Deconstruction and Ghost all more or less are 4.5's in my book.

I was quite confident one of these albums would be my AOTY, but The Color Spectrum took that one away for now.

Both albums rule though.

Deconstruction I wasn't crazy about everything on (mainly the title track,) I think Ghost is a better album overall. Both great though.

i am finding Decon really really boring, and i'm a big hevydevy fan

I think it's great, Poltergeist could be on Alien easy.

I still need to listen to addicted before tackling these two. I'm betting I'll like Ghost more though.

I love both of these albums. Deconstruction is my AOTY. A hugely successful 4-album project by one of the most original, creative artist in music today.

I just can't believe how positive the reception is for this, it's ridiculous. First time I read the user opinions I thought people were just trolling or it was some big inside joke. I'm seriously going to have to listen to these when I get home.

Decon is so good, get past the diarrhea sounds and the penis jokes (which Dev does purposely to piss people off) and its stunning. Drumming in Deconstruction is absolutely fucking phenomenal.

What the fuck is with all the Deconstruction hate? Yeah, the humor is pretty absurd, but I think it's hilarious! And the musicianship/guest appearances (Cynic, Meshuggah, BTBAM, Opeth, Gojira...wtf) are beyond top notch. It's also the most layered/complex album he has done musically IMO. Ghost is too beautiful for words. I like both of these more than Ki and Addicted...those were cool/fun albums, but these are masterpieces.

I like this pair better than Ki/Addicted. Title track on Deconstruction is fantastic
