HELL YES! Vid is exactly as it should be, full of suicide.
| |
good point
| |
They should have made a video from a better song, like Moonlight, Sex Tapes, or Dunsel.
| |
I don't like PTH, but I kinda liked that song.
| |
Ugh.
| |
just because it doesnt have several gay men dressed up in naval uniforms and dancing in synchronization to a keyboard solo doesnt mean its serious. their train stop was made out of 2x4s and plywood.
| |
Fine video
| |
i like the minimalist theatre feel of the video, fits the somber theme of the lyrics. also, rody is the fucking man.
| |
HOLY.LIVING.FUCK.
| |
Awesome.
The end of the song reminds me of the Banjo-Kazooie soundtrack...
| |
Wished there was some more light on their hands during the featured passages, otherwise killer video.
| |
rody is the fucking man
YESSSSS

Fuck yeah for a Banjo Kazooie reference.
| |
shit was nice
| |
Great video, amazing song. And idc what anyone says, this is a better album opener than Bloodmeat.
| |
Great video.

Protest The Hero is probably the single best thing to come from canada.
| |
track is great but I found the video kinda generic

Protest The Hero is probably the single best thing to come from canada.
uhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
RUSH
| |
yeah, and voivod
| |
yeah this vid sucks. lets sit around and play our instruments while people kill themselves... real entertaining......
| |
i liked it
| |
it was boring
| |
even if you hate them you have to admit they're some pretty sexy dudes.
| |
track is great but I found the video kinda generic
well, care to send me a link to a grand list of other videos that look the same as this one?
that's what generic means... and last time i checked, PTH has some of the most ORIGINAL music videos out there. this one was more or less just showing them playing sitting in chairs. not really generic. more like uneventful.
that being said i enjoyed the song and video. watching them preform, whether live or in a music video, is great fun.
| |
thanks for the lesson bro, but generic also means
c : having no particularly distinctive quality or application
what i meant, is that it still is a classic metal video with the band playing their instruments alongside with a brief storyline connected with suicide, as the lyrics also have to do with. Videos like Spoils or Sequoia Throne were pretty much the same: same band playing their instruments, the singer doing these signature hand moves and stuff.
NOW, if you think that by putting a quite smart background with rooftops ,trains and a noose makes this video original, then I think I must be the silly one. Sorry for being bored of seeing them playing in a video that mostly serves advertising purposes. I personally prefer videos being artistically worthy, which by the way this isn't.
| |
It's nice to see a band sitting down and playing.
| |
yeah but don't promote it by being original like theoceaninside did
| |
I don't watch too many music videos, but this is the first time I've seen it done like this, other than Protest's other video where they were also sitting down.
| |
Thought song and vid owned.
| |
the thing is that usually music videos are made just for album promotion, and thus usually in a hurry. What I found original is for a band to have something to say through its' videos, as it may have had through it's music. Band members may not be directors, but they can surely have opinions about the work that is done.
| |
wow that was pretty good
| |
Fair enough scissor, I guess I'm not too much of an artsy type ;)
| |
cool bro! however, I still think you are capable of being!
| |
music videos don't need to be artsy to be good...
| |
hard for me to listen to the singing. not as good as kezia. let loooooooooooOOOOOooooose
| |
yeah dude let fucking loose
| |
video is good. simple but it works. awesome song.
| |
Didn't really get it, but the song is good so who cares.
| |
I liked the video . Arif makes the guitar seem like cakewalk as usual.
| |
Arif plays bass

"MS reader Enrique Hernandez informed us over the weekend that he chose to allocate his limited funds to Scurrilous instead of Kvelertak’s new jam"
...lol bad call.
| |
Best song off the album, lyrics are pretty good.
| |
Awesome song and vid.
| |
Simple vid and I enjoyed the colors used, it also led me to the interview with Nergal post-transplant so I was appreciative.
| |
I see Protest the Hero have been listening to Colors
| |
One of my favorite songs off Scurrilous aside from Dunsel, great video too.
