I love more than half of the bands that participated in this whole thing and was especially excited to hear Misery Sigs actually release something, but frankly this sucks pretty badly. I love Periphery but they really shouldn't try to cover Metallica

I only listened to a few of these, but they weren't too bad. The deathcore ones were absolute shit, but I thought TGI and mis sigs both did pretty well. Ive never heard the original Fight the Power, but that was also pretty cool.

These were disappointing. I liked the Misery Signals one, I thought the periphery cover of One was at least decent. I'd rather listen to that than the original version tbh. Some of them were horrendous though, iwrestledabearonce did the most generic thing a band in this scene could do, and that is cover most of the song pretty similar and then just breakdown through the entire bridge. Attack attack did the same thing to i kissed a girl...on one of the punk goes whatever. cmon... I downloaded this but most of them i'm kinda scared to listen to. As I lay dying's cover sounded exactly how I expected though.

The War Pigs cover was vomitous. Dillinger was awesome, putting Chuck D on the track too sick. One cover was 90 percent tight until they kept the double bass rolling on the solo when it shouldnt have.
