I miss Nathan

And eh this is okay
|
| |
Pretty boring
|
| |
confession: I'm actually more hyped for this than for Scurrilous. :/
And this is easily the best of the 3 pre-release tracks so far. I'm liking the new vocalist more and more.
|
| |
great ending!
|
| |
2/3 pre-released songs are good. I still fear that this album will fail as a whole, the new vocalist is too monotonous :-/
|
| |
the end is so fucking awesome
|
| |
Song slays. Im looking forward to this album despite not having any interest in the band prior to these past few songs.
|
| |
pretentious frontman replaced? original shredder back? sounds awesome.
|
| |
i was expecting more than this honestly :/. that closing section was pretty fantastic though
|
| |
This is awesome. I'm not more excited for this than Scurrilous, but that's like saying I like sex better than blow jobs
|
| |
Solo is better than porn.
|
| |
beats anything off Midheaven, though in all fairness that's not particulary difficult.
|
| |
I honestly haven't listened to Midheaven. I heard Procession of the Fates and one other song that i can't remember the name of and... yeah, i could not listen to a whole album of that.
|
| |
After Nocturne, Midhaven was pretty much a swing-and-a-miss, then shitting your pants on the way back to the dugout.
|
| |
Meh, better than Midheaven. Still not saying much, song is a high 2.5 for me.
|
| |
gross clean vocals
|
| |
Each song they have released is more boring than the one before. Interest has disappered.
|
| |
Great ending. Im actually looking forward to this album now.
|
| |
Boring.
|
| |
I loved Nocturne and I love this band. Anything better than Midheaven is enough for me.
|
| |
I really don't like Travis' vocals very much. His growls just sound like every other metalcore band to me.
|
| |
Nocturne was pretty much an entire album consisting of 'that awesome ending'. I find it hard to justify excitement for their next release based of ~30 seconds of former glory. Though the lack of Nathan alone is giving my ears a boner.
|
| |
That was brutally, horribly bad. Please kill me.
|
| |
lol at the hate. band is miles ahead of a lot of their genre contemporaries. best song released so far, still excited.
|
| |
At least Nathan knows how to write a melody, I'm not a fan of these Muse-eque anthems in every song.
Although this is the best song released so far, I'm not particularly excited for this anymore as the
first few tracks have been boring.
Also has anyone noticed how god damn much the band and the individual member's Facebook promote this
album? Its sickening really.
|
| |
i'm liking this a lot more than the other 2 tracks. still not that into the vocals all that much though.
|
| |
cleans are kind of annoying but this was pretty decent.
|
| |
I miss Nathan
Please die.
|
| |
"Also has anyone noticed how god damn much the band and the individual member's Facebook promote this

yeah dude fuck bands promoting their work so they make decent money.
|
| |
^ THIS haha
|
| |
Pretty good song not sure if I like Faust more.
|
| |
not feeling the cleans, but the rest is pretty awesome. But yeah there is definitely too much drawn-out Muse style vox
|
| |
I dont really understand why everyone says the end is so awesome Im pretty sure ive heard that same ending in three other human abstract songs... nothing THAT special. song overall is ok. ill just wait for the BTBAM ep instead.
|
| |
Not sure what to think, definitely not for me atm. Find myself siding with Josh D on this one.
|
| |
Rather enjoying the album thus far. I like the overly Classical-esque clean vocals that Travis delivers. Has a hint of what Nathan was trying to do a lot (e.g: chorus of "Vela...") only it sounds a lot more proper (?).
I dislike the layered harsh vocals, mainly, but they are infatuating, nonetheless, and somehow actually work to some degree. Though I enjoy the moments of singular vocal lines, more so.
Overall, I'm actually kinda' surprised by the vast amount of dislike the album is getting. I thought it was all done extremely intelligently. AJ actually delivered on what he initially promised ("I want to make an album that's both metal, and classical, without being cheesy like power metal"), and I think it comes off quite effectively. Though, that’s objective.
Based on the three songs, I can see this being a 4.3 for me, personally. Heaps better than Nocturne & Midheaven. Though, I am a bit let down by the use of the clean vocals that were shown in the teaser, as I thought they would be more... epic (as they seemd to be in the teaser itself).
[tl;dr]
|
| |
I kinda miss Nathan. I don't like this guys mids, and since thats pretty much all he does..... cleans are boring too.
|
| |
Protest The Hero mixed with Muse...
I'm buying this album!!!
|
| |
Yea the new PTH album will be better than this for sure. This is the only good song out of all 3 they have released so far. I still think the old vocalist is a much better singer than travis is imo, he has like no range at all.
|
| |
Pretty Good. A little repetitive, but not bad. I like the new singer a hell of a lot better than the old one, I just wish he would explore with his voice a little more.
