Cat Power tour cancelled 2006-02-06 by Iai EMERITUS | 5 Comments | Thanks to 'health circumstances', Cat Power's scheduled US tour, in support of new album The Greatest, has been cancelled. Her spokesperson has refused to go into greater detail than that out of respect for Chan. Details for ticket refunds are yet to be announced, but are expected within the next few days.
The European leg of the tour (including appearances in London, Paris, and Manchester), and her appearance at Coachella, are the only dates unaffected.

who cares? she makes great music. Don't like the new album as much as some of her previous work though...blah, though Where is My Love? and The Greatest are great tracks

Any person who would go to Bonaroo , or whatever it is called.. to see an artist like Cat Power perform, obviously needs an serious cultural awakening. Or at the very least a lesson in sensitivity. 100,000 drunken wanabees stomping in the mud is what you want to be surounded by when when you hear Chan Marshall undress herself.
