fuck yes, listening now

All hail the environmentally friendly america sux vegan mainstreamish melo hardcore band
|
| |
pretty predicable but still not a bad song
|
| |
well that wasn't anything new for Rise Against but was still good.
"All hail the environmentally friendly america sux vegan mainstreamish melo hardcore band" stfu Rise Against's politics are one of the reasons I like them so much. hate them for their music fine but that comment just makes you look like a retard
|
| |
Appeal To Reason part II.
*Hopes the rest of the album isnt like this*
|
| |
S'alright. Sounds like appeal to reason, until the bridge, which was fairly awesome.
|
| |
meh.
|
| |
Song was pretty good but said help is on the way way too many times
|
| |
I kinda like anti-establishment geared lyrics in music. (ex: GY!BE's subtle hints of anarchism.)
But, I've never been a huge fan of Rise Against. They sound good and all, but I dunno, they just haven't changed enough over the years for me. It feels like they've sorta stuck to one general song formula. I'll listen to this though, because they're still a good band, I've just never loved them.
|
| |
Cover looks amazing, song is too familiar. How many times can they make the same album? Hopefully there won't be
another misstep like Hero of War.
|
| |
Was pretty standard Rise Against, tbh. Can only hope the rest of the album is a bit different.
|
| |
Band is golden.
|
| |
That they are, but every album after SSFTCC is starting to sound like the exact same. Bearing in mind that TSATW is a 5
|
| |
Yeah, haven't they made the same album like five times now?
|
| |
help is on the way*
|
| |
song isn't bad but deff sounds like something that'd be on appeal to reason sigh
|
| |
i'm predicting there'll be like 1 or 2 awesome songs and the rest will just be tim mcilrath prattling on about how greed and corruption are bad.
|
| |
at least we still have rpm, sstcc and ts&tw =(
|
| |
This single was as disappointing as fruit stripe gum (if I can borrow the Family Guy reference).
|
| |
yeah, and they still rule live.
if I can borrow the Family Guy reference
no you may not.
|
| |
no you may not.
It happened, it cannot be taken back...
|
| |
The screams were a nice surprise
|
| |
I am the coon
|
| |
meh.
|
| |
The screams were a nice surprise
that's what i said after banging your mom
|
| |
"yeah, and they still rule live."
o ya they do lool
|
| |
actually last time i saw them was in late '08 so idk
|
| |
The article says both "Help Is On the Way" and "Hope Is On the Way" as the title fix that.
|
| |
"that's what I said after banging your mom"
I'll give it to you that was pretty clever.
|
| |
I thought it was really good. Sounded like Appeal to Reason until about halfway through, but then he brought in the screams. I'm really anticipating the new album if its anything like this
|
| |
meh[2]
|
| |
New Rise against and Yellowcard song in the same day! I'm happy!
|
| |
meh [3]
|
| |
Hope to god the album is much better.
|
| |
Doubt it.
|
| |
Thought it was pretty cool.
|
| |
oh hey a bad rise against song surprising
|
| |
Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay. Heeelp iiiiis oooon the waaaaaaaaaay.
Etc.
|
| |
Hmmm, boring
|
| |
meh.
|
| |
They are quickly becoming the definition of mediocrity, which is too bad. For a band that just got better and better, they suddenly screeched to a halt and turned to the other direction. Good for them for preaching what they believe when it comes to politics, but it's time to go back to what made them stand out. Siren Song is one of my favourite albums ever and it kills me to know that they'll never sound like that again. I may just pass this album completely, unless I hear a strong enough recption leads me to do otherwise. Until then, this album, and maybe even this band, one of my original favourites, is off my radar.
|
| |
Yeah it was pretty average. Hopefully the album's better.
|
| |
song's average for rise against, which means its slightly above average in general
they really need a spark of creativity or something though
|
| |
This album better not suck as much as 'Appeal To Reason'
|
| |
Best song is Drones. This didn't excite me..
|
| |
Pretty good... There's definitely some recycling going on, but I like the tempo switches, screaming, etc... on the 2nd half.
And just remember guys; the highlights on 'Appeal To Reason' were NOT the first couple of singles.
|
| |
i agree with whoever said they abused the "help is on the way" deal.
still a decent song, not bad for their first single. Im hoping the album will have a little more soul though?
I want another revolutions per minute
|
| |
One of their better songs imo.
|
| |
Wow, I'm underwhelmed...
It's ok, but after the Self-Titled EP I hoped for something more... edgy. Maybe this is only the radio friendly song to please the kids, and the album has more of an RPM/SSOTCC appeal.
Here's to not losing hope for this one
|
| |
Not fantastic, but still, better than some of the melo-hardcore/punk that's out there.
|
| |
"And just remember guys; the highlights on 'Appeal To Reason' were NOT the first couple of singles."
This. Saviour was such a great track.
|
| |
^I just listened to that album for the first time and Saviour is the one track that really stuck out. Their lyrics often get boring as fuck, but they're great in that, especially for the simple line of "I don't hate you"
|
| |
Eh, was okay. Still I'll assume there are better songs on the album. Solid band anyhow.
|
| |
One of their better songs imo.
No.
Revolutions Per Minute roolz. now they're lame
|
| |
Meh, Nothing compared to SSOFTCC or their earlier works. Rise Against was my a great band...Appeal to Reason sucks and this doesn't sound much different.
|
| |
mediocre as all hell
|
| |
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
|
| |
"Appeal To Reason part II."
^if the rest of the album is going to be like this, pretty much.
|
| |
Slightly average for them but I'm still stoked for the new album.
|
| |
I used to love this band back when they were good. This shit sucks, though. This song just sounds like a watered-
down version of what they used to be.
|
| |
These guys can do no wrong imo. I do hope the rest of the album is a little heavier and fresher though.
|
| |
Boring. Go back to your old sound already please.
|
| |
nothing special, bridge is legit tho
|
| |
this is so =/
|
| |
boring until the first half of the bridge then it got boring again.
|
| |
Zach Blair is the worst thing to happen to this band. This sounds like Appeal to Reason Pt. 2. And AtR sucked.
|
| |
Stupid Myspace. I like the song, standard Rise Against. MOAR screaming pleez!
|
| |
every single song on Appeal To Reason is better than this song... even From Heads Unworthy. even Hero Of War.
but, as always, judgement will be reserved until the album drops.
|
| |
Not terrible, not amazing either. It's alright. Appeal to Reason has better songs than this.
|
| |
Sufferer is their best. This song is alright but very formulaic.
|
| |
not to be that guy who says siren song is their best but...
anyway song is pretty eh. i except the album will be around appeal to reason level
|
| |
Everyone of their albums is mostly filler and a few ridiculously great tracks. I presume this will be the same.
|
| |
Wow, don't even know how I missed "Hope is on the Way" >_> Just fixed it, though.
|
| |
Standard 2008- Rise Against.
|
| |
troo hxc
|
| |
Help better be on the way, because this song is boring.
|
| |
well will be waitin for the album
|
| |
this was on the shitty rock station at work last night. so so so bad.
|
| |
Great verses, boring chorus. Still its Rise Against and they'll always produce something great.
|
| |
Sounds like Hairline Fracture 2.0. Still not bad though.
|
| |
uuuughghgh. This song sucked...
|
| |
The amount of disapointment I feel from listening to this song is impossible to convey in words...
|
| |
Rather bland song...
Found out today that their album is coming out on my birthday, cool.
Edit: Take that back, I loved the ending.
|
| |
First half is mediocre and bland. Second half a bit better.
Still nowhere near their best.
|
| |
