Linkin/Jay-Z Added to Grammys

2006-02-06 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 7 Comments
MTV reports that heavy rockers Linkin Park will again team up with rap legend Jay-Z for a performance of their hit 'Numb/Encore' at Wednesday's 48th Grammy Awards. The track is up for the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration award, contending with Ciara and Missy Elliott's '1, 2 Step', Common, Kanye West and John Legend's 'They Say', Destiny's Child, T.I. and Lil Wayne's 'Soldier', and Gwen Stefani and Eve's 'Rich Girl'.

The artists previously collaborated on 'Collision Course (The Ultimate Mash-Up)' [review here].

The Grammy's are sucking up to Mariah Carey, all because she overcame a tragic tale of a supermodel who didnt really have any real problems, so she made some up and she disappeared.

Then she returned to put America thorugh her bircalling falsetto again with a mediocre album.

Heartwarming.

And when a song is performed, it's pretty much going to win. Congratulations to the most overrated rapper and a talentless Nu-Metal band.

Is the ceremony going to be 10 hours long or what? I'm not a fan of either of these guys nor their collaboration so whatever, but most of the other performances should be good.

At least they're representing a very broad range of the mainstream world.
