man the cleans are da troof. kind of like a grimier, less whiny cove reber. and if you're missing aaron's cleans, spencer actually sounds vaguely like him at times haha

Album is nowhere near as good as LitSoS and Define, it's lacking the overarching tension, but its still pretty good. Aaron is most missed on the drums I think, rather than vocals.

This is fucking awesome. If it grows at all it's a 4.5.

How can anyone say that the drumming has become worse? If anything I thought it was better then ever... especially in Divine Eradication.

Eh, I think overall this album is a step down.

cleans are worse, but his vocal tone is heavier which is good. too much cleans though. drums are definitely better. i agree by saying aaron was nontraditional but his drums were fucking annoying sometimes too he lived on the snare. new guy has some nontraditional at times.

CD is much more user friendly. I could hear a lot of this on the radio.

I've heard up to Driftwood. That song sucks but everything else was good.

Am I the only one that wasn't amazed by Aaron's drumming? I mean, he was really good and all, but I really didn't appreciate a ton about his drumming aside from how sharp he was. From what I've heard of Daniel I prefer his style; seems a bit more groovy and busy (in a good way). I also think Spencer's cleans are freaking phenomenal on this; way more unique than Aaron's straight up emo singing.

I can't believe how good Spencer has become. His screaming is some of the strongest among any frontman.

Goku: Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and I'm against trolling and shit like that, but let me tell you that giving both Cinematic Sunrise and The Maine a 5, (as well as spelling "truly" wrong in a sound-off) does not make your opinion an objective one (nor does your username), and yes I know that's really out of the point, but I felt like writing it.

dude, it's miles better than DTGL. it's darker, rawer, more chaotic, catchier, sludgier (yeah)... everything is better.

TBH, Aaron was a good musician and everything, but I feel he and the band had different ideas...and the bands were better.

The drums on this are insane. 300 times better than Aaron's. Listen to "Paper Lung", and "Illuminator", his fills and
energy are amazing.

Before I listen, just want to make sure that the guy on keys didn't drown the whole album in effect like he did with those shitty fucking studio albums.

Album is sick as hell. And the new guy's drumming is definitely better than Aaron's

First time I've ever been excited for a UO album. I like this quite a bit.

Its definitely heavier ill say that much at least.

Good response to the leak.

I have never listened to an album on repeat as much as I listen to this one. Since it's only a half hour, I want to listen to it again as soon as it's over. I think the replay value is so high because the tracks have a lot of variation. There are lots of ups and downs to the tone of the record. I thinks it's better than LITSOS and about on par with DTGL.


Overall, it's probably my favorite album since Converge released Axe To Fall.

The first half of DTGL was solid in my opinion, but then the second half was amazing, and it still remains one of my favorite albums of all time, so it'll take alot for another UO release to surpass it

Davison's drumming is so much better than Aaron's. I was so sick of the same dumb ass fills. His drumming was so predictable.

aaron really was a core part of the group. but I am still enjoying the hell out of this album
